The Lakers play the Suns tonight in Phoenix with a start time of 7 PM Arizona time. Paul Gasol is expected to play tonight after being out for one game. The Suns might even get a glimpse of Kendall Marshall as the Lakers remain short on PGs.

It's interesting to me the Lakers have such a Suns flavor with Mike D'Antoni, Steve Nash, Wes Johnson and Kendall Marshall.

Lakers (13-14) at Suns (16-10) … 7 p.m. Phoenix tip time

C: Pau Gasol … Miles Plumlee

PF: Shawne Williams … Channing Frye

SF: Xavier Henry … P.J. Tucker

SG/PG: Wes Johnson … Goran Dragic

SG/PG: Jodie Meeks … Eric Bledsoe

Key Lakers injuries: Pau Gasol (upper respiratory infection) is probable. Kobe Bryant (knee), Steve Nash (back). Steve Blake (elbow), Jordan Farmar (hamstring) are out.

Key Lakers reserves: Jordan Hill, Nick Young, Chris Kaman, Kendall Marshall, Robert Sacre, Ryan Kelly.

What I like about Plumlee is he has learned to go to the rim when the Suns PGs penetrate.

Steve Albert is such a *******.

I wish McDonough could kick his ass out but I'm not sure he's the one in charge of those decisions.

How did a Green miss that last wide open 3 but make all the other ones including some contested ones?

Btw, Plumlee is playing a ridiculous amount of minutes right now. Good chance that he gets exhausted next half and gives up a lot of drives to the rim.

Albert bragged that he's been waiting to say to Dionte, "Merry You". That is so un-clever! We might expect that from an 11 year old. ('Sorry for insulting 11 year olds.)

It is sad that he evidently feels it is better to say something stupid than nothing at all. Hey Steve, your job is play-by-play, not color commentary. Of course, as we've seen, he does play-by-oops-missed-that-one. :)

Using his New Yawk vernacular, he epitomizes the word "schmuck".

The Suns were falling apart without Plumlee's rebounding, defense and some easy baskets. They did not have a good option other than to play him.

What is worse, I think Albert thinks his comments are funny.

I was curious how his average minutes rank with the rest of the team.

Plum is 4th, behind Dragic, Bledsoe and Tucker, with 28.1 per game. Frye, Green and Markieff are just behind him with 26-27.

Plum has pretty much been playing 3 quarters most games. His early minutes are not indicative of how he finishes.

And with the Suns up by 20 midway through the 3rd quarter, I think Plum will be OK.

The Suns look like the SSOL teams of old.

Haha what a terrible coach D'antoni is. Pays lip service to defense and doesn't want to develop young talent. Still can't believe this guy. SMH. He should really get Nash something nice for Christmas every year, since he's the only reason Mike has a job in the NBA.

Archie needs more arc on the ball. I don't even care if he misses, I just wanna see more arc. Give the shot a chance to go in.

Also he is too anxious putting up his shot.

Watching the game I was expecting to see a lot of minutes next to his name but apparently that was done in only 31 minutes. That's incredible. Hopefully he keeps this up.

The game was pretty much over in the third quarter so it's no surprise that Miles led the team in playing time with just under 32 minutes.

Remember how we use to get crushed on the boards under D'antoni? I love Plumlee and think he has a lot of talent, but I'm pretty sure D'antoni's style had a lot to do with Plum's 20 boards tonight.

Perhaps. Miles was very aggressive tonight. He went hard after every board and I'd like to think that had a lot to do with his numbers too.
