Why don't you guys start watching Felicity? :| If you haven't seen it, it's new to you.

I think D-Dogg tracked the S1 DVDs down for him and the Mrs. I watched that show in college, at least until that beautiful girl cut all her hair off.

The show you're talking about was airing on A&E last year and as far as I know has nothing to do with JJ Abrams. Maybe you're thinking of MI:3 with Tom Cruise. Aside from his involvement with Lost, he also is executive producing "What About Brian" and the new show "Six Degrees."

From a USAToday.com blogger who attended Comic-Con in San Diego:
The 'Lost' panel: You're there, too
As promised, here's everything that went down this morning. All times are PT:
10:34 a.m.: We see footage from the Lost Diaries, which debut on Verizon cell phones in the fall. The concept follows Hurley, who finds a video camera on the island. Kate and Sawyer appear in the clip.
10:38 a.m.: We see clips from the second season DVD set. Among them: backstage footage of the Hurley-Sawyer fight, a short clip of Alvar Hanso and interviews with writers about the Sun-Jin relationship.
10:43 a.m.: Executive producers Bryan Burk, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof take the stage. The crowd roars for Jorge Garcia and Daniel Dae Kim.
10:46 a.m.: The guys mention two strange theories fans have come up with: that the show takes place in Vincent's mind (he's the dog), and that Hurley is Claire's baby grown up.
10:50 a.m.: The line of fans with questions stretches nearly to the back of the room. One woman has already professed her love for Garcia.
10:52 a.m.: Cuse says fan response has influence the show in several ways. One of them is the way the show is structured next season, with “pods” of new episodes. The first six eps, he says, will be “like a miniseries.”
10:54 a.m.: The crowd boos when an audience member tells the panel she wasn't surprised Lost got no Emmy nods. “We were disappointed and a little bit shocked,” Lindelof says of the snub. He adds that they don't write the series just to win awards, though.
10:57 a.m.: Did Lindelof just slip? He tells a fan it may be wrong to assume the castaways have “been there as long as they think they've been there.” The crowd gasps and applauds. Lindelof says no more.
11 a.m.: Cuse and Lindelof deny the existence of an “underwater hatch.”
11:03 a.m.: Cuse and Lindelof confirm Bernard and Rose do not work for Dharma.
11:04 a.m.: A woman named “Rachel Blake” demands to know the truth about the Hanso Foundation, Joop the monkey and organ harvesting. “Have you no shame?” she screams. Cuse and Lindelof contend there is no foundation. She urges the crowd to check out HansoExposed.com, then storms out of the room. (She leaves through the front exit with two female escorts, implying her appearance is a setup.)
11:10 a.m.: Says Lindelof: “You will never, ever hear the word 'clone' on Lost.”
11:12 a.m.: How does Jorge feel about being a heartthrob? “About the same,” he says.
11:14 a.m.: We learn one upcoming DVD feature will show all of Sawyer's nicknames in one clip.
11:17 a.m.: Lindelof says the Diaries will be posted online a week after they appear on phones. Thirteen two-minute eps are planned.
11:19 a.m.: A girl wearing a homemade Dharma jumpsuit asks whether we'll see Vincent again. The answer: yep. He's still on the island.
11:22 a.m.: Because Hurley's character had not been written when he auditioned, he says he read Sawyer's lines at first.
11:26 a.m.: “Hi, my name is Stuart, and I'm a Lost-aholic,” a nervous fan says. “Hi, Stuart,” the crowd chants back. He, too, says he loves Garcia.
11:28 a.m.: Lindelof says the show has no plans for how many seasons it will last. “Zombies (in) season seven!” a fan shouts.
11:29 a.m.: From Cuse: The hieroglyphics loosely translate to the term “underworld.”
11:30 a.m.: Cuse says Desmond will return next season.
11:32 a.m.: The “monster” on the island is not a “cloud of nanobots,” Lindelof says.
11:33 a.m.: A Lost video game is being developed right now, Cuse says. He adds that Kate will “get with” someone on the island “very soon.”
11:37 a.m.: Lindelof says we will learn more about Libby “next season and beyond.”
11:40 a.m.: We learn that J.J. Abrams co-writes the third-season premiere and may direct the seventh episode.
11:47 a.m.: Lindelof says the third season will feature more adventure, more info about those who captured Jack, Kate and Sawyer and a “vastly different feeling” than the first two seasons. He adds that something will happen halfway through that “will effectively fry everybody's brains.” He jokes that it will also feature “naked Hurley and Jin.” The first ep is titled “A Tale of Two Cities.”
11:53 a.m.: We see a quick teaser for the new season. It doesn't reveal anything, but the crowd screams anyway.
Boy, are my thumbs tired -- have fun discussing!
Seems that she did this whole report from her blackberry. Impressive.

Does anybody remember this great show ABC used to have about people who crashed on a plane on an island and all sorts of weird things happen to them?

Was a really great show and then ABC apparently forgot about it and stopped making new shows and it was never heard from again.

What was the name of that show again?

My dad ruined that show for me by telling me that dinosaurs and cavemen were never alive at the same time. Talk about unfair use of facts.

Spoilers
07/30 - [Henry Ian] Cusick [...] said: "I've been asked to be a regular for at least a year." Source: The Sunday Mail
07/29 - Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of ABC's hit drama "Lost" as a possible new love interest for Matthew Fox's character, sources said. Source: Yahoo! [Note: We believe that she will play "Juliet" decribed in out July 14 spoilers below.]
07/26 - Rodrigo Santoro, best known to American audiences as the hot dude Laura Linney crushed on in Love Actually, is joining the cast this fall. Source: The Ausiello Report
07/22 - Among the revelations to come: Viewers will learn more about Desmond and Penny, why Locke was paralyzed, why Libby was in the asylum, and why the island has healing powers. Source: Sci Fi Wire
07/22 - The smoke monster is definitely not made of nanobots. Kate will "make her choice" in the first six episodes of the season. Her choice is presumably between Sawyer and Jack. The word "clone" will never be heard on the show. The Powers That Be all but confirmed Libby will be appearing in flashbacks, most logically Desmond's or Hurley's. If you're asking about daddy issues, you're asking the right questions. Strong implication that an underwater hatch might exist and that it might be explored this season. The producers say the hieroglyphics on the timer translate to "underworld". Source: Kristin on E!Online
07/21 - During an interview Carlton Cuse revealed: We almost view the first six as a miniseries. And it's going to answer what we left hanging at the end of the finale. Obviously, we're going to explain what happened to Locke and Desmond and Eko, and sort of deal with the fact that Sawyer and Kate and Jack are in captivity. We would love to sort of finish up [Libby]'s story. We're casting two female roles and one new male role. I can't tell you where the characters are going to come from, but obviously, one of the things we're doing this year on the show is... learning a lot more about the Others, and their society and their history. So it might be fair to say that you're going to learn more about some other characters who are also Others. I wouldn't call it the season of sex, but I will say that romance will play a much more active part of the show this year... We actually meant to get to it last year. We didn't really get to the romance as fast as we thought we were going to. So this year that's definitely on our agenda. I think actually one of these new female characters is going to be a romantic interest, possibly for Jack. There will be several new romances on the show this year... I think that this year we're looking to make the show a little bit brighter, a little bit more vibrant, a little bit more on the action-adventure axis, a little bit more on the romance axis. I don't think the show will be as dark and as intense this year [as it was last season]. And it will be, I think, even more on the character axis than on the mythological axis. John Locke will be a very different person in Season 3. All of his questions and his doubts and his uncertainty have been answered. In fact, the button did mean something. And there was something at stake. And I think that will bring about a change in that character. Penny is an important character in the overarching mythology of the show. The interrelationship between the outside world and the island will be something that will be a part of Season 3. The monster will be a part of Season 3, as will the polar bear. People are asking what happened to the polar bear, so we will be doing some polar-bear stories. The smoke creature and the monster are one and the same. I hope Cindy shows up at some point. Let's just say we have many actors on our show; she is not at the top of the list of actors we're servicing. Source: The Ausiello Report
07/14 - Juliet, a woman in her mid-30s, will be added to the cast as a regular. Juliet is a natural leader and a smart and independant woman. One of her flashbacks (?) will involve her mother Amelia. During said flashback, the ladies will discuss burnt brownies and Juliet's love life. It seems that Juliet may be an Other. Jack is held alone in a room and Juliet looks at him, separated from him with a glass window. Jack tries to break the chains that are holding him. Juliet tries to convince a pissed off Jack to trust her. Source: SpoilerFix.com [Note: It is unknown when those scenes will be seen and if they will be part of an episode.]

Anybody know what's happened to the reruns this summer?

They stopped airing the show a few weeks ago and I see that next week they'll begin airing again but they are skipping may 7-8 episodes.

I've recently got into the show and was catching up with the season 2 as I didn't watch the show when it was airing new episodes.

I see season 2 will come out on DVD soon and maybe that's the reason.

Another 'Lost' Actor Arrested

British Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was arrested on Saturday in Hawaii - joining the ever-growing list of cast members cited for traffic violations on the island. The 39-year-old actor, who plays Mr. Eko on the drama, was arrested for disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. According to police, he posted $500 bail and was released after spending just over six hours behind bars. In December, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drink driving. Both pleaded guilty. Six other cast members have been cited, but not arrested. Josh Holloway got a speeding ticket in September, while Dominic Monaghan has been pulled over twice for speeding and was also cited for driving without a license. Naveen Andrews has also been slammed with two speeding tickets and Ian Somerhalder has one. Harold Perrineau Jr. was also ticketed for having no motor vehicle insurance during a safety check in Honolulu.

Rewatching the series leading up to Season 3, and am just about to watch the 2-parter that ends Season 1.

Just a brilliant show, and it's interesting to look back on these episodes knowing what we now know. And I think it adds to the clarity to see the backstories of the original castaways before the cast expands.

Matthew Fox does a great job of really shedding the pretty boy image he could have easily fallen into. Unfortunately, Maggie Grace does not and her acting problems really magnify once that thing happens with her brother (spoilerfied).

But the characters are so multi-dimensional, it's really amazing what the writers have done with the show. I only hope their introduction of so many new characters in Season 2 and now the Others in Season 3 doesn't dilute what makes the show so great. Favorite Characters: Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley.

I rewatched both seasons this summer. Picked up a lot of details I originally missed.

Is there anything new or interesting in the second season DVDs? I've probably watched each episode 3-4 times, so I'm day off on buying those DVDs. However if there is some good stuff in there I might just have to buy them now.

My brother is in Mexico on business, and he was watching the second season last night. He told me that he found something new that he hadn't noticed before, and I was surprised to learn that it was something I hadn't noticed either. In the episode where they show Hurley in the mental hospital with his imaginary friend the doctor takes a picture of the both of them. Then later when he shows the picture to Hurley the imaginary friend is not in it. However my brother says the picture does not match the scene when it was supposed to be taken. I believe he said it is even a different time of day.
