good lord... I can only imagine the it felt like to be a Cavs fan during the LeFraud saga.

More like a Knicks fan, and I'll respect Manning no matter where he goes. LeBron's the type of player I'd tolerate on the Suns because of his talent, but outside that I'd still think he's a class A douche.

right on, who cares what the Peyton's ex team general manager thinks...Seriously, I would not use him as a source to what Peyton might decide, why should I?

Maybe I'm wrong but I think there's a good chance that if Polian actually had any inside info he'd keep it to himself. I think the only reason he's offering an opinion is because he has not been taken into Peyton's confidence.

They are indeed going crazy here in Nashville. Note the Titans recently hired Polian's son. He is just trying to pump them up. He has the media here in a frenzy with his comment.

NFL Network just reported from Arizona that "Cardinals feel extremely confident Manning will sign w/Arizona in the next couple of days.."

Take that for what it's worth.

How confident? Denver was "95% confident". Can we beat that? 96% or 97%??

I certainly hope this is the case, although that would put Gambo's prediction right on the money and it would be really difficult to listen to the radio for a while...

Have been listening to Gambo since he "predicted" Peyton coming here and something about everything he's saying rings true. The most salient point, for me, is that he was the only one I've heard say Manning wouldn't sign on Tuesday, that it would be a day or two after that. He said this on, I believe, Saturday, and was the only one saying that. Another point I'd make is that he wasn't texting his "sources" looking for scoops; he claims he was contacted while watching his daughter's game and was as surprised as anyone. Lastly, he claims his "only Bidwill can screw this up" comment was in reference to bringing in at least one of Manning's friends (the only friends left, really, are Dallas Clark and--retired, I thought--center Jeff Saturday. I don't even know if that's doable given our cap problems.

However, I still believe it's going to happen.

Also believe Whis and crew have handled it more professionally than anyone. I never knew they could keep so tight-lipped about something like this. None of the players are talking/tweeting about it; none of the coaches are; even management hasn't made any comments. Yet you look around at all these other teams (I'm not talking newspaper dudes either) and there's leaks all over the place. We're the only team that's kept our mouths shut. If that's a "dog and pony" show they left the dog and pony at home.

This is not uncommon for the Cards since Whiz has been the HC.
Don't talk out of school.
Your comments represent yourself, your teammates, the organization and the entire community.

Think about it..........How many examples are there of a Cards player saying something stupid.

Dockett doesn't count :D

Even DD is mostly well behaved most of the time.

Manning is coming here.....proof you ask??

Schefter just tweeted that Reggie Wayne has agreed to a new contract with the Colts.....

Why would he go back to the colts unless Peyton was declining miami...and going somewhere with an entrenched #1??

Well, Anderson did say he takes this sh*t seriously and get into it with reporters. And the Matt Leinart whined to the media about his treatment by the coach. Oh wait.

Micheal Irvin said we would be instant Super Bowl Contenders with Peyton. He said the 2 hardest working players in football on the same team would be scary. And it would spread throughout the team!!

I agree. It's like the organization was operating in stealth mode. Labeling our efforts as a "dog and pony show" is absurd to say the least.

Would Peyton make the Broncs immediate contenders?

Manning makes nearly any team a possible contender.....but IMO very much less so for denver than for Arizona......but even our window is closing so we need to draft well the next couple seasons.

I don't see how Peyton would help Denver. They were pretty mediocre in a normal offense before Tebow. Then they became tough with Tebow. With exception to the Pats playoff game. I think it might take awhile to get Peyton and the team clicking. While for us we just plug him in. We were dead last in QB play last season with Skelton and Kolb.

And with bad QB's--horrible QB's actually--the last two seasons Fitzgerald has still put up good #'s. Not Fitz type #'s but still better than most receivers in the league. Imagine if he had Peyton tossing it to him. He'd be so unstoppable it's almost not debatable. With Warner throwing it to him he broke records in the playoffs--records held by Jerry Rice. Imagine what he'll do with a pissed off and hungry Peyton Manning wanting to prove himself all over again. It's scary to contemplate.

I wish he would look at ESPN fan poll....The Nation thinks Peyton should be a Cardinal. The Media doesn't want to see that. They are crazy.

The Alien had the second highest season total receiving yards of his career last season with Kolb/Skelator throwing to him. Manning to Fitzgerald: the stratosphere is the limit. The NFL would probably have to make new rules to keep parity, like the ones the NBA made for Kareem.

Like catching it with one hand? He'd probably still lead the league. :D

I think a major thing that hasn't been discussed, is Fitz still going on vacation. He has tons of money so cancelling it wouldn't have strapped him. The reason I say this...SIgning Manning would be the greatest thing ever to happen to Fitz. I mean if he felt like Manning wasn't coming here...I think he stays...to show and discuss things in more detail. I mean Fitz could shatter records and become even bigger than Jerry RIce. If Manning doesn't come here....He will be over thrown and under thrown for the next 5 years. To me that has to mean...Peyton has told Fitz..don't worry my friend. You will catch many a pass from me. ;)

Fitz already left on vacation. He did on Sunday, when Manning was here.
