I heard he offered Manning the rights to the "First Night".

Bud: um, Bobby, can we chat?

Grandson: Sure Grandad

Bud: Dont you think it would be awesome if Peyton joined the Titans?

Grandson: Sure! Gosh, I would give anything for that to happen!

Bud: Funny you mention that........

If Bud is anything like Al Davis he would have sent that transcript via fed ex instead of picking up the phone.

Strategically, the Cards are in the worst position of the 4 teams because of the time-factor - If I'm Peyton (& haven't decided) my smartest play would be to cut the Cardinals first (by tomorrow PM) which then would buy me all the time in the world to decide among the other 3 teams

Bud Adams grandson's wedding is Sat. May delay presser until next week...

:bang:

Driving home from work listening to Nashville sports radio they mentioned this but also said that details of the contract are being worked out now....Of course no named source....I would hope if Peyton made up his mind he would let the Cards know.... Not that we would do anything with the news anyway....They are saying presser on Monday....

Technically we are better than Miami. They're apparently out and pursuing Flynn.

Like how a tweet speculating about the wedding's potential impact on a presser turns into a report on an actual announcement forthcoming.

Oh if you could listen to the sports radio here in Nashville. It is unbelievable. Have already declared this one of the biggest sports weekends in the cities history.

Did no one learn anything from Vic Lombardi claiming the Broncos were hammering out the numbers with Peyton days ago?

six hours with the broncs....... six and a HALF hours with the Cards........"NEARLY" seven hours with the titans.......

all in all...looks to me like Manning gave everyone about the same amount of time to make their pitch.........

but either way.....pretty sure the contract details and requirements were likely faxed to the teams prior to any visits.

ANyone read Marcus's tweet on this question? Someone asked him to rank the 4 teams in order of who was going to get Manning.

His answer:

Cards, Cards, Cards and Cards.

Titans are 96% sure they're getting Manning. That beats out Lombardi's prediction.
