I think a major thing that hasn't been discussed, is Fitz still going on vacation. He has tons of money so cancelling it wouldn't have strapped him. The reason I say this...SIgning Manning would be the greatest thing ever to happen to Fitz. I mean if he felt like Manning wasn't coming here...I think he stays...to show and discuss things in more detail. I mean Fitz could shatter records and become even bigger than Jerry RIce. If Manning doesn't come here....He will be over thrown and under thrown for the next 5 years. To me that has to mean...Peyton has told Fitz..don't worry my friend. You will catch many a pass from me. ;)

Or he is convinced that Manning would never come here.

any of you follow Larry's brother Marcus on twitter?? I do...Marcus is a goof ball and loves to be the center of attention and the one breaking the news....up until about an hour or so into Manning's visit he was tweeting out all kinds of hints and such......

but since then...he has been playing word games about the whole situation..teasing about Manning visiting the globetrotters...then the Generals...that kinda ****..... marcus knows something, but has been firmly told to keep his mouth shut about it....you can bank on that.

Fitz already left on vacation. He did on Sunday, when Manning was here.

I KNOW thats my point. He basically said ok Peyton..I am about to leave...take care.. That to me makes no sense. I mean he has to know something. Come on. You don't go to an interview for the biggest job opportunity in the world...and then if the big Boss man wants to take you to dinner and you say...nah I am heading over to Dave and Busters with some friends.

I completely misread your post. My mistake. Anyways, I hope Michael Bidwill took Peyton to GameWorks instead of Dave & Buster's. :D

My sources say he's coming here. Unfortunately I've already drank 6 of those sources and am completely out. :)

ok...Since you asked that way...Peyton is signing here...Thursday evening around 5.......He sign for 4 years 65 million...with major incentives.....35 guaranteed....He says ...he signed with us because it was the most comfortable place for him. He knows the staff, he loves the stadium, and he gets to work with a WR he has admired for 8 years. He knows when he goes to war...FItzgerald will shield him and take the battle on as hard he would. He says the commitment and dedication of the Bidwill family to change the culture and the perception of the Cardinals, shows they are ready to win They had the ship...they needed a Captain. I am that Captain. Now go sign some damn OL. :D

It could be I'll leave the formalities to the bosses, see you in training camp. Oh I'll call my buddy Andre so you two could workout before the start of the season. Now if PM wasn't interested Fitz should cancel his vacation. If Fitz had to baby Peyton the entire time then I would be worried.

I think Peyton already made up his mind. Its like you already know the car you want and the price before you even step into the dealer.

I still have no idea how Peyton is interested in Denver.

Simple. Elway is a used car salesman. Literally.

Jurecki is now retweeting that money has become a big influence in the Peyton signing.

Ya from Vic Lombardi.

Here's my guess: Condon is trying to get Az to up ante by driving up price with Denver and say "this is what else is on table"

Otherwise this doesn't sounds consistent with PM.

From our favorite clown, Vic "95% sure" Lombardi.

I believe him on this. If anyone believed Manning would take a bargain basement contract, or an incentive laden one for that matter, they'd be kidding themselves. In professional sports, when an athlete says it's not about the money, it's about the money.

Jurecki tweeted last Friday that he felt the contract would be approx. 3 years 60 mil. Said nothing about guaranteed money. I think this is pretty accurate.

Vic Lombardi is the source? C'mon Jurecki! You're better than that!

Clearly I haven't convinced anyone to ignore the Manning speculation, but AT LEAST ignore Vic Lombardi! I mean, do you listen to Democrats to critique the job performance of the Republicans and vice versa?

I only give it a middling credit. It wouldn't surprise me for Peyton to want a significant contract at this point, or for his agent to leverage it.

But hey, I only seem to post here with the breaking news! I have to keep up my niche. :p

Seriously? There is no way I can ignore this. I find myself checking twitter every 10 minutes to see if their is a Manning update. It is totally self-mutilation on my part and completely unhealthy. At least I recognize the behavior, but cannot come up with the right treatment.

As more and more Wr's flew off the shelf, Denver's cap space became less and less valuable. So here's Lombardi trying to grasp at reasons his team still has a leg to stand on.
