He has won 100 games because his record at home is like 86%...on the road it is like 55%....He has a losing record in the playoffs too!...Playing in a comfy dome where weather doesn't effect his pin point passes is important. He is precise...but if it is 10 degrees or windy...he becomes average...look it up.
I get that, but just like Eli does, he can adjust. that's all i'm saying. unless like you say...if he's scared he may just decide to play in a dome because he can't handle the challenge of playing outdoors more often. I'm just being sarcastic with you if you can't tell.

and by the way there are a lot of dome stadiums in the NFL now. I don't recall many other qb's winning double digit games for that many seasons in a row. he is great...are you are trying knock him down a notch to prove your point that he somehow fits better in your stadium on your team? unless I am misunderstanding you. do you not want peyton to sign with AZ? and if he does sign in AZ I guess that means when (if the cards make the playoffs) he will have to go on the road to a cold weather NFC team...and he will lose because he is terrible outside of the dome?

I just think it's overrated.

Equally as valid (& as irrelevant) is the fact that Denver has orange unis (like Tennessee).
I think the fact that tennessee is in the same division and peyton knows the teams in that division is a factor. I also think his tennessee roots are obviously a factor. He is a GOD there. I'm not writing off arizona because they have a lot to offer, i'm just speculating here. it may be overrated. I remember when randy johnson was a free agent in the late 90's. The texas rangers offered him a max contract and even had nolan ryan meet with him. I may be wrong, but many people in texas felt that he opted to sign in AZ because of his roots in AZ. that stuff can sometimes come into play with athletes just like it would for many other people.

It's the intersection of teams that were interested in him and teams that he was interested in. That's just the way it shook out, IMO.
I agree with you. Did Seattle reach out to him or did he ignore them. i've heard mixed results on that.

What roots did RJ have in AZ? he went to college at USC and grew up in northern California. Maybe you are thinking of Schilling who played high school ball in the Valley.

So where's Peyton now?

Don't suppose anyone slapped a GPS tracker on his butt when he was here.

I still believe, for right or for wrong, Dems, that when PM dreams at night he is throwing to Larry Fitzgerald.

Keep hope alive

Chris Mortensen says on NFL32 "at least 3 teams still alive" on Manning. Mentions Ariz, Tenn. Denver.

Filed to ESPN: Dolphins have arranged for Matt Flynn to visit Miami after his visit to Seattle. Miami's chances of landing Peyton dwindling.

I am starting to get the feeling that today was Condon's day to hammer out details with the final 3. I suspect Manning will make the announcement tomorrow, but that news may break tonight when someone figures out where he is flying.

Should someone camp out at Sky Harbor?

Probably. With the Dolphins apparently moving on Flynn, I suspect that Peyton already gave them their courtesy call.

Everyone will look for Michael B's plane, but I think we'll slip Ray Horton out to go pick him up. :)

If Tenn. was such a slam dunk, why not just announce it?

It is hard because all of these teams have holes and benefits. It's the main reason most believed if the Texans wanted him, he would sign. Denver has issues, Arizona has issues, and Tennessee has issues. It's going to come down to money, and which issues Peyton thinks the team can fix or he can overcome.

maybe it was his wife? I'm not a randy johnson expert, I'm just going off of my memory of what the dallas media was reporting back then. that was a long time ago, but I do know that curt schilling was never in the mix to come to arlington.

Bud Adams grandson's wedding is Sat. May delay presser until next week...

:bang:

Maybe Peyton just doesnt want to crush Adams right before the wedding. Wouldnt want him flipping off the wedding party.

well put. most of those teams are on equal footing as far as it goes. some have strengths in certain areas and weaknesses in others. I think money could be a clear deciding factor if one team is offering more than the other.

If Peyton Manning chooses another team, Cardinals will pay Kolb $7 million bonus and proceed. Get the feeling AZ expects to hear by Fri.
