Sorry for the false alarm, everyone. Just call me Vic Lombardi.

Actually, it turned out well. I was so upset with myself for stopping to check the rumor I stayed away from here for a full hour and actually accomplished something. :D

I just made the mistake of reading replies on ESPN from Titans fans.... "Peyton is coming home!" Last I checked the Mannings are from Mississippi and Peyton was born in New Orleans you hillbillies.

No wonder Lane Kiffin ran for the hills as fast as he could.
hahaha, the funny thing is I was just listening to the nashville espn flagship station. they don't even view AZ or miami as a threat. they are all saying it is between them and denver and breaking it down like homers just like every other team is. the only thing you hear about every now and again with arizona is larry fitzgerald is great. that's it...

Just don't see Denver, Tenn, or Miami as a better football decision than Arizona and from most polls, neither does the rest of the country. If he signs elsewhere, it would not be a football geared choice to me at all
tennessee bearly missed the playoffs with matt hasselback/locker. they also have one of the best offensive lines in football(which is more important than anything else for a pocket passer like peyton). I'd say that's pretty important as well. now if tennessee has a weakness it is WR. that's where the cardinals have strength. all of these teams peyton is looking at have worts and all of the fanbases can hate on each other for one reason or another. I think you are overrating the cardinals. they are a mediocre team right now just like most of the others that are looking at peyton right now.

The whole AFC vs NFC thing is a good arguement..i think slowly the NFC has become a stronger conference after years of not being stronger. peyton is only considering one nfc team and 3 AFC teams. odds are in the AFC's favor that they will retain manning. Not because he is scared to be challenged, but because of the odds. Then if we want to speculate I think there is something to the familiarity of playing in the same conference, especially the same divisions where you play 6 games every year against the same teams.

I think that's happenstance.

JMHO
it is, but why is it that why? the nfc has better qb's that are already in place or like washington have one in the hole. most of the NFC teams don't want peyton. the cards are literally the only one that does. I thought seattle would, but maybe peyton shot them down?

that leads me to believe that the NFC is the stronger conference at the moment. I speculate that peyton wants to stay in the AFC(same division at that) because that is where he has been for years and is where his comfort zone is. but like he does at the line of scrimmage on each play, he will look at every possible scenario before he makes his final decision. and the cards still have a shot for many reasons.

Peyton is an idiot if he goes to the Bronocs. I will laugh when they get owned. Tenn I understand more but a contract for life?!? Big Deal...really. Peyton would have been welcomed anywhere.

But what is really dumb and it shows. He thinks the AFC is the better option because of easier path. How stupid could you be? He has a losing record in the AFC playoffs when he had 12-4, 11-5 teams! He also doesn't understand///that all the AFC teams except the Texans play in cold weather...So unless the Titans get home field advantage (Broncos is moot) he has to go to either Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England to win...Which he sucks at. NFC...has 1 maybe 2 bad weather teams that usually get home field...Green Bay and maybe Eagles. I mean if the Saints get it...ok, many other teams are warm weather. His logic is stupid...his teammates at either team are garbage. How these ******** ESPN experts say these teams DEFENSE'S are GOOD...really pisses me off!!!!! The Cardinals are rated higher than both his so called finalists and we were top 6 last half of the season!!!! Plus we have a WR that can help him break RECORDS. How dumb is he??? I say screw him...Lets get Hassleback if he goes to Tennessee or go with Skelton if he chooses the Broncos. Wow..because John ELway made him laugh...he wants to go to Denver....That is insane!!! They are built to run...have always been that way since SHanahan was their. They had decent pocket passing QB's and where did that get them? John FOx is a running coach..hence his teams at Carolina. Oh well...maybe this is a silver lining...Maybe one of those easy soft AFC teams defenses...will hit him...he gets carted off(Hope is ok im not evil) just saying, that his career was never destined to continue and we didn't get him and then watch him go down.(which in the long run would have been much worse)

Still can't believe Larry Fitzgerald couldn't talk him or help him decide how easy this decision should have been. Hell...the Nation picked us over everyone and how much clout do we have with them! LOL...Dumb!

Time to Cardinals decision on Kevin Kolb roster bonus = 24 hours;

I'll be happy when the "Peyton Place" soap opera ends.

I think fans are making too much of this. Peyton is looking at which team is better for him. it's not one thing or the other, it's the whole package. and he is looking at 4 different teams that are all basically in the same boat from a competitive standpoint. they all need a franchise qb.

without taking it literal..the contract for life thing is more true in tennessee than most places. look at mike munchak(who has been there on and off since the 80s with the oilers) and jeff fisher who head coached there 15-20 years in a period of time where most coaches get the ax in 5? adams is a very loyal owner and there is proof that he will keep guys in his organization if they want to stay.

I just think it's overrated.

Equally as valid (& as irrelevant) is the fact that Denver has orange unis (like Tennessee).

Read above...The AFC teams are much colder if he meets them in the playoffs...Meaning Manning would have to goto a cold weather stadium during the playoffs unless he gets home field advantage...and if in Denver its cold!! He is terrible in the cold weather. NFC has 1 truley cold weather team..Grenn Bay. Heck the Saints have a dome. WHy is Peyton scared? Makes no sense!

Philly, Washington, New York and Chicago can all be pretty miserable in January too. I agree though, if weather is a factor he may have nicer weather in AZ. I can't see Denver winning more than 9 games with Manning, and the same can be said for Tennessee.

don't confuse being scared with choosing the choosing the team that is best for him. you don't win 100 games in 10 years in various parts of the country because you are scared. that dude is cold blooded. if he chooses not to play in AZ it isn't because he is scared. if the dude was scared he would just retire and no one would question his motives or legacy.

I think he was terrible at new england which happens to be one of the toughest venues for anyone to win in. the dude has won in the playoffs @KC, @ baltimore, @ denver right?? how did kurt warner play in NE the year he went to the superbowl? I think like tom brady(or brett favre when he was young) you adjust to your elements the more you play in them.

I know that...but my point was playoff teams...Green Bay, New Orleans or Arizona have had home field advantage last 3 years...Carolina 3 years ago and 4 years ago....Washington, Chicago haven't had it in a long time....I am just saying...that there are only 2 power houses with bad weather who could have home field...Philly or Green Bay....San Fran is nice, Saints dome, Atlanta Dome!

AFC Bad weather teams that could host playoffs Patriots, Jets, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, CIncinnati, Denver (Lol) I think there are my obstacles in the AFC..hence why very few teams have represented them in super bowl lately!

He has won 100 games because his record at home is like 86%...on the road it is like 55%....He has a losing record in the playoffs too!...Playing in a comfy dome where weather doesn't effect his pin point passes is important. He is precise...but if it is 10 degrees or windy...he becomes average...look it up.

you are digging too deep. and home field advantage or not, there was an NFC title game in chicago the year before last and it was like 10 degrees. the one in green bay a couple of years before that it was like negative wind chill in the -20s. philly also had a lot of them there too before those.
