Grant Hill has 21 points in the first half....I'd say he's fitting in just fine.

Hill with a 3 as well. If this preseason is indicative of his shot selection with regards to number of 3's he shoots than I am more than happy.

man, Marion's just been a rebounding machine so far in the pre-season. if he can keep this going, really just focussing his energy on defense/rebounding and Stat comes back and hopefully finally averages 10 plus, this team really could be frightening, especially with the way Hill has apparently looked thus far. Man, I just pray he stays healthy. He could be SOOOOOO huge for us if he stays healthy.

Skinner with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in 25 minutes. Between him and Marks, the depth at center doesn't seem nearly as bad as last year. They aren't all-stars or anything, but they are solid.

Edit: The defense the last two games has been very impressive.

so who is the grant hill guy?

he plays 21 minutes, shoots 8-9 and nets 21pts 3ast 3stl... in the first half.

this is ridiculous, i mean cautiously optimistic is one thing but this is what grant did in his prime.

people that watched the game: is this all great jumpshooting or is he getting to the hoop? if he's getting to the hole i gotta say there is serious all-star potential here, and he becomes #3 behind nash and amare in offense.

i'm REALLY excited about grant hill. and not as a good role player anymore. this is looking like a star reborn...

his play is reminding me of ginobili, especially on the game tonight. people respect him taking them off the dribble so much that they leave him open for jumpshots which he knocks down consistently now. i noticed a couple of times this pre-season that they have tried to jam him on the perimeter and he still has that quick first step to blow right past them and take it in. so to answer your question, he is getting to the hoop and taking shots as well as using one part of his game to set up the other.

for what it's worth, grant hill played nice defense tonight. it wasnt any bruce bowen kinda defense, but certainly better than the matador defense he has shown a few times in his career

If he is looking this good, I just hope D'Antoni doesn't get stupid and start playing him 35-40 mins.

With the offensive threats we have on the court at all times, Hill is going to be as featured here in the preseason..this isn't Orlando anymore(Not saying he wasn't good there, tho)..he's going to be solid.

Hill has been hitting the midrange jumper consistently in the preseason and in his career. It's no secret what to expect from Hill. He's going to have a sweet midrange jumper and he's got a quick first step and great dribbling ability so he'll get to the hoop quite often. With him and Amare the Suns FT attempts should go up this year. He looks pretty good shooting the corner 3 as well.

Tonight begins the Staples Center shootout.

We play the Clippers at 4:30pm then the Fakers play the Bobcats. The winner of our game plays the winner of the other game on Sunday. The losers also play on Sunday.

If we end up playing the Lakers, most likely that game will be on League Pass.

The one thing with this team is, they can't be lazy and be any good at defense. So when they aren't that motivated, like in this Clippers game, they get torched. It's why our defense improves so much in the playoffs.

Did DJ get hurt? It says he only played 1 minute.

I don't think so. I think D'Antoni is starting to squeeze out his rotation and the minutes Strawberry was getting in the first half in the first few preseason games are now all going to Banks. Banks jumpshot has really come along so he deserves it. He can really catch fire sometimes.

3. Hill
4. Marion
5. Stoudemire
6. Barbosa
7. Diaw
8. Banks
9. Marks (spot minutes)

agreed. gotta hand it to banks. borderline unbelievable to get to be the 8th man. he's going to get regular rotation minutes and lower the burden on nash. credit to the work-effort, kudos to him.

however, can someone explain to me why grant hill is playing 32 min in a preseason game?
