The sky is falling. Oh noes!

Let's all panic about a deal that can't go through until next week. Anyone ever hear of posturing? Or "saying the right things?" Of course they're going to say that Curry is their man.

If GS wants to back off of the initial deal, screw em. Let Amare go out and dominate in a contract year.

I know I agree with you.

I just hope Steve Kerr does too.

This is my stance as well.

I've been thinking about an alternative deal that might work out. where GS gets to keep Curry and Randolph, and we get some young talent.

Amare
Richardson

for

Biedrins
Azubuike
Wright
Ellis

i dont see why GS wants to keep Ellis, with Curry their future PG. this trade helps thin out their backcourt, while allowing them to build around Amare/Randolph/Curry.

we are left with a solid young core that gives us more flexibility for the future. we can trade Nash if we want, or start Ellis at the 2 guard.

Both Biedrins and Ellis just signed long tern deals for around 10 million per year. I'm not sure if the Suns are looking to take on two lengthy contracts right now. Ellis seems to be a knucklehead as well; He really jacked up his ankle in the moped accident and might have lost some of his explosiveness because of it. I have a feeling he will be hampered by that ankle for the rest of his career.

Yeah, I want nothing to do with Ellis. The guy seems like the definition of a "me first" player. Definitely not something you want to build around, selfish combo guards are a recipe for disaster.

Same guy at RealGM says the trade is completely dead and that talks ended this afternoon.

Chandler for Wallace has resurfaced.

I was under the impression Wallace is going to retire, or at least contemplating it?

If the Suns like Chandler, Wallace can be traded to New Orleans and then let him do what he wants to do.

The Suns might be better off buying Wallace out and then signing FA center Pachulia.

That's why he so valuable as a trade commodity. Whoever gets him saves a lot of money.
I already see this coming: the Suns are about to trade Wallace for Chandler, and then Wallace comes out and says he wants to play one more year, Hornets back away from the deal, and we are stuck with Wallace sitting on the bench and collecting paychecks.

Yeah, allegedly The Warriors were supposed to Draft Hill for PHX. But they grabbed Curry when they realized he was still available. Take it for what it's worth. Who really knows what's going on..

But if that's the case, and the Suns / Warriors agreed to the trade in principle, it's a pretty weak move by GS. Phoenix loves Curry, but apparently Hill may have been their man all along.

I'd rather GS included Randolph in the deal anyways. Doubt it will happen though. Looks like it's time to tell GS to F off and go after Chandler. Let Amare put up crazy numbers in his contract year with a chip on his shoulder.

If that's the case, then it seems like more teams care more so about saving money, than they do about winning. Obviously having the highest pay salary doesn't win you championships, but good players cost more money. The suns are going down that road, and it's sad, why do you own a team when you're not doing everything you can to help 'your' team win. If i was Sarver, i would be going after every big player i could get, it would make the fans happy, it would make the team better, and that would ultimately translate into winning.

Yeah, I saw that too. His version is: the Suns and Warriors had a verbal agreement for the trade and the Warriors would pick Jordan Hill for the Suns at the #7. Even though the Warriors selected Curry the Suns still felt that Curry should be there's. (Illogical) Sounds like the Sarver and Kerr got crapped on. Who knows. The same guy claimed just yesterday that the deal was done and Curry was a Sun. I'm still holding out hope that this can be hashed out.

The Suns being in talks for TJ Ford makes more sense now that we know they were targeting Hill. I'm assuming they were offering up J. Rich in the deal. We probably wouldn't have taken Clark if we would have gotten Hill. I wonder who they would have chosen at 14; Holiday, Lawson, Teague, Maynor, and Collison went in order from 17 to 21. I imagine we would have picked Holiday on potential.

If what was said by the RealGm guy is true, Golden State really hosed us. Sarver and Kerr should let it be known to the rest of the GM's so it can make it's way to the media.

Wallace is a large expiring contract and would save New Orleans some major bucks no matter what. So even if Wallace doesn't want to retire it still benefits New Orleans. Chandler has a two year contract.

But that raises even more questions. If the Suns told GS to draft Hill and then they drafted Curry instead, the Suns draft room would be going something like "umm, wtf" and not "hurray, GS drafted Curry for us! well, not the player we asked for but still, we liked him just as much."

First IGH says the deal is dead. Then he says it is a done deal. Then he creates a thread called ''Say Hello To The Newest Sun: Stephen Curry.'' Now he is saying the deal is dead. WTF?

True, but then you have to wonder will the Suns seriously consider adding salary when they can save so much money just by keeping Wallace.

Heh, exactly. Who really knows what's going on? Though I do believe he has a pretty strong source somewhere in the organization. He's usually on top of moves the Suns make.

I personally think neither team really has an idea of what's going on. Both seem to be posturing at this point.

I am all for a Biedrins, Randolph, and Azubuike for Amare trade. (If it works financially.)

The Suns need a center period. They have none now unless the Suns rely on Lopez or put Stoudemire back at center. As I said earlier, the Suns should probably be able to buyout Wallace (I think he would take 12M for a 14M contract) and sign FA center Pachulia.

I'm done reading what that IHG fool on RealGm has to say. He just posted that he made the "deal being dead" up.

Khoee, actually i made all this up just to make you look like the fool you are. I knew you would be coming here to try and defend your stupid lies. You give every insider a bad name because your a **** liar. Im done posting on here because i get my thread locked because of this piece of **** and i wanted to make him out like a fool.

Sorry for creating this stupid thread to prove a point, i just had to do it.

By this time my account should get banned because i posted that i **** Howard Mass's wife.
He then retitles his thread, "**** Kkoee."

What a douche. Don't waste your time reading what he writes. Sorry for making this thread.

In another two months, he'll do it all over with some other story he heard seventh-hand, and everyone will fall for it again.
