Tucker received a technical and returned to the game. Dragic received a technical and sit out for most of the game. What's the difference?
Tucker came back in at Power Forward, not his own position, because Marcus was playing it. And Kieff was playing Center.

I don't know which is screwing up the balance of the team more. 3 Point Guards on the floor with the game on the line. Or the twins with 2 Point Guards on the floor. Either way, it is weak!

Dragic also has a history of picking up stupid technicals for arguing with the ref plus he had a terrible game and the group that was in made a huge run..

Tucker and Dragic both sat out the entire quarter after their Ts. Dragic probably just did not come back in the 4th because the unit was playing great and Dragic was worthless in 18 minutes before.

What can I say, Dragic not returning to the game after the technical did not feel right especially when Tucker game back in the game later after his technical. Usually if Dragic is having a bad game, he will get the ship righted. I do not buy the reason Dragic was sitting out the rest of the game given the Tucker exception. Hornacek had already made his point about technical fouls with both players.

Again. During Jeff's interview he said Goran argued with a ref in which resulted in a T. According to Jeff, PJ got the T for getting in the face of a Rocket player in which resulted in the T.

Difference is, Rules are if you receive a T after arguing with a ref you get benched.

How many times this year have the Suns lost on a buzzer beater now? 3? 4?

I think this game just highlights the different stages of maturity of the two teams. The Rockets appear to be a more seasoned bunch, led by perhaps 2 "superstars", Harden and Howard, Harden who nobody can really stop, the leading scorer in the NBA. If you give Harden the ball at the end of a tie game like that, the Rockets win. Even with Howard out. Reminds me of when we had Barkley.

The Suns are a younger up and coming team. Lots of talent and potential, perhaps a couple of stars, no real "superstars", still maturing, still learning, and missing a piece or two to be on the Rockets level. We don't have a Harden, or anyone who appears to be ready to guard a Harden in that situation.

We are heading in the right direction, but just not on the same level as the Rockets right now.

I agree. We spotted a good team 16 before making a furious run at the end only to lose on a buzzer beater. The Suns have talent and have a promising future. But, with the 3 PG system, there's too many cooks in the kitchen and no "star" player to put the game in his hands, ala Harding.

Agreed. And there's an awful lot of doom and gloom on this board considering where we are and where we were less than 2 seasons ago. We all want Rome to be built in a day but most of the time that just doesn't happen.

I look forward to seeing the complete scale of how all the different technicals should be handled. :)

I know right? The point Jeff's trying to make with his team is not to argue in a disrepectful manner to a ref. The Suns now have a rep for being mouthy and leading the league in Ts. If a player gets a T from a ref other than mouthing off, its a judgement call from the ref and out of the control of the player. Jeff really cant control that situation.

If those refs would get their heads out of their butts then there wouldn't be any technicals...

In Goran's case, the defender raked down across his arms, which jarred the ball lose and it went off of Goran's leg & out of bounds. Clearly it went out of bounds of Goran, but to completely ignore the foul that caused that to happen is negligent & intentional by the ref. In those cases, it's either a foul called or Suns ball. You don't reward a team for playing BAD DEFENSE.... apparently unless they are playing it against the Suns... then they can compound their bad officiating by rewarding bad defense with free throws.

I didn't watch a replay of PJ's Tech... it looked like PJ turned to run up the court after a made basket, didn't know Harden was right behind him & bumped into him, Harden shoved/elbowed him, PJ said something to him & got the tech, Harden got away scott-free & got a free throw. Sounds fair.
