With about 19 minutes left to play and the Suns having erased the Laker lead, I expect the Suns to stay close, then take advantage of the Lakers playing a back-to-back and on the road and open it up at the end for a win.

I can't believe I'm going to type this, but the Suns should keep trying to post up Green. Neither Marshall nor Meeks can really bother his shot on those turnarounds.

As others have noted, it would be nice to see the Suns play some defense. This game should have not been close.

Green's best game of the season? Nice to see him dishing the ball too with all the attention he's getting from the defense.

I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but you may well be right.

Ugly win if there's such a thing. I think we ought to beat teams like LAL by more than 7 at home even without Bledsoe & LB.

Dragic playing another 40 mins is not need.....this game should have been a blowout with him getting rest.

Frye with 20 pts on 20 shots....uhh...

Green finally playing well. Good for him.

Plumlee needs to come out better than that against the worst front line in the NBA. No excuses for him.

Tucker with more bricks when given wide open looks. I think Hornacek has to consider replacing him with Green at SF and LB (when he comes back) at SG. Send a message to
Tucker telling him to actually improve his shooting. In the mean time he can provide some much needed energy off the bench.

Hope they build off the win.

Len's vertical leap on that play looks awful. He really needs to work on his "explosiveness"... I fear the worst with Len.. he looks awful imo.

Wouldn't be shocked if Len got suspended for that. It was unnecessary and not a basketball play imo.

And here's what Young said about the play:

"“I felt bad for Dragic. He was right there. He was the last person right there and I didn’t throw a punch. I was trying to shove people out of the way. I was being pushed and I was being pushed back and it was more of me trying to get out. It was more of a push but it happened and I feel bad. It’s just basketball. I didn’t try to push Dragic. He’s my guy. I feel bad for that."

Honestly, its pretty bad. They were talking about on SportsCenter today too how not a single teammate of Young's came to his aide where as the Morris twins and Dragic were both there immediately for Len.

They were ripping Kendall Marshall for just standing at the 3pt line and watching.

And then when Marshall was told about it after the game his response:

What a tool.

Dragic is amazing and I love him but I think he may be among the worst PG in the league in terms of throwing alley oops. He missed Green like 3 times just now for wide open looks. He's done this a lot this season too.

I agree but alley oops are way overrated. Just pass the guy the ball and let him dunk. Its a higher percentage play.

I like Len's toughness as well.

Len should not have been ejected. Young rightfully was ejected.

He went straight for the face which, in todays NBA, should be an automatic ejection. I think he was attempting to go for the ball, whiffed, and decided to just take Young to the floor.

Not smart going for the face, but you gotta like the attitude.

Tucker should just shoot less. I think Green is a LOT better coming off the bench in the "microwave" role. I'd rather run out Dragic, Barbosa, Tucker, Frye, Plumlee.

If Barbosa can give you 70-75% of what Bledsoe does then the Suns can still hang around and make a run once he gets back. At this point tanking is out of the question. So you may as well try to get out of the 1st round of the playoffs and build some momentum going into next year.

All the great enforcers take cheap shots. When you have that mentality that you're not going to back down and you want to send a message you're going to cross the line sometimes. Sometimes it isn't pretty.

Here is what Alex Len said per an article at azcentral by Paul Coro:

“I went up for the ball,” Len said. “I didn’t mean to hit him in the face. Hard foul. I wanted to block him but I was a little late so I was about to foul him. But I didn’t mean to hit him in the face. I knew he was going to do that (retaliate) because I knocked him down on the floor. He had to get back. I respect that.”

I wouldn't be surprised if Marcus Morris gets hit with an unsportsmanlike fine or something similar for his role in the melee. He was the one that really escalated it. Markieff just held his arm up to prevent Young from getting at Len but it was Marcus who shoved Young hard twice.

Since when is Dragic Swaggy P's "guy"? I think Sir Swag knows he's in trouble for that punch and he's trying to minimize the consequences.

Yup I saw this too. I thought Marcus was the one that really escalated things, not Len, Young or Dragic.

wonder if marshall was afraid to get in a tussle with some of his old teammates.
