Let's hope they can surprise everyone again and this time make it to the Stanley Cup. No one is going to expect another run like they had last year but if Smith can continue his stellar play behind the net and the defense plays well, yo never know. I think Boedker is going to have a big year.

It would be awesome before the puck drops at home opener that Bettman and Jamison announce the completion of deal at center ice. The place would explode

yeah ..... I'd love to see it today before the new council starts work tommorrow - but the agreement has been signed and that says until the end of the month .... the rumors were that jamison flew eastward this weekend to talk on the deal - obviously the league has had their hands full with the CBA and getting the season started .... now everyone needs to move quick on this

Welcome back Matthew Lombardi! Coyotes trade a 4th-round pick to Toronto to acquire Lombardi. If he re-signs with the Coyotes, the pick turns into a 3rd-round pick. I like this trade.

Yes getting Lombardi back for a 4th is a good deal. Don't like the up charge to a 3rd but whatever

They still need another scorer. Wonder if Tony Amonte or Sergei Berezin are available?

Speaking of Bobby Francis doesn't it seem like he completely got the shaft from this franchise? He is a damn good coach and the team was playing well under him.

Tough game for the Yotes tonight in Dallas. Jagr had 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists), Whitney also scored for the Stars as the Coyotes fell 4-3. Despite the score, the Coyotes played well except for two turnovers which ended up in the back of the net. One was Hanzal being lazy, the other was Rundblad being lazy. Both ended up on Jagr's stick (1 goal, 1 assist)! Tippet will whip that out of them.

Vrbata had 2 goals and an assist, and Korpikoski had the other goal for the Yotes.
