Just look at how good the Hawks became with just the drafting of Wilson.
Russell Wilson is only part of the reason the Seahawks have gotten good. AND he was a third round pick.

But you don't have to pay SIX PICKS to get that guy. Look at the good-great QBs in the league, and what you will see is that you don't have to spend the #1 overall to get that guy.
This is a flat out desperation move made by a horrible coach-gm pairing that are close to getting axed, and a horrible owner who mismanaged every sports franchise he's owned.
This move makes me nervous. Wentz has an excellent football mind....even Fisher may not be able to screw up this kids head.
it will be interesting now.....as other teams try and jockey in the draft to recover
Seems llike a logical trade force both teams on the surface.. Rams desperately need a QB but have some good young talent, and Tennessee doesn't need a QB in a draft without a clear cut #1 pick and needs to acquire a lot more young talent.. definitely a good haul of high picks for Tennessee and if they really want a tackle a Taylor Decker/Jack Conklin type should be there at 15.
It's also a better chance of Paxton falling us if Keim thinks about taking him in the first.
Good for them. I respect it. Its better than taking QBs in the 7th and crossing your fingers.
I get what you're saying but if he turns out to be great those picks traded mean little, that's the importance of a fabulous QB in the NFL. Now on the other end of the spectrum...we all know those ramifications.
Personally I think he's going to be a star & this puts the Lambs in contention in 2 years because they've got a great D & awesome RB.
I suspect the owner had a big part in making this deal. A great way to start the buzz in LA

Sure it was, but the move still had to have some sort of approval from the football minds. We will see in 3-4 years. Let's not forget the Cards Hawks & Niners teams may look totally different as well.
A great QB dramaticly changes the face of an NFL franchise!!
The Lambs have been a mediocre franchise for years! No risk it no biscuit lol
For all those who believe the Rams gave up too much, think about this. The Rams got a ton of draft picks in the RGIII deal, and have not taken the next step. Why? The have had continuity. They have the same coach. It is because they never were good at QB. Plain and simple. If you aren't good at QB, it is almost impossible to be a competitive team in the NFL. The move is a solid move. Whether they get the right guy and have a plan to support and develop him is secondary to that. The Redskins didn't make a bad deal for a QB, they just selected the wrong one. You give up whatever you have to in order to get a top QB. It is never a bad move. However, selecting the wrong one is.
That being said...the Rams will probably butcher the move and select Wentz over Goff.

The 49ers have to be crapping bricks.
They need a QB, and now the top two are likely off the board. Browns, Cowboys, perhaps even the Chargers could grab the other one now.
Could Paxton Lynch go at #7? Probably not, but this trade imo really screws the 49ers.
