Thats the kind of coaching credibility that you hope comes in, grooms the young guys and teaches them how to be leaders. Culture change. MB is spending big on staff. Love it.

But dont forget, hes cheap, Keim is lowest paid GM in the league.

Looks like a great mix of young guys and SERIOUS veterans. I like it. A lot.

The Keim being paid 750K report was completely false. Was glad to hear it too. Keim makes like 1.3 million a year.

Mike Florio is a joke.

Jurecki just tweeted me back. He was just speculating on Fridays show about Alex Gibbs, nothing more.

it hasnt been mentioned much here, but I also like the Cardinals are the only team with both coordinators being African American.

Nice to see my team being that progressive especially with MLK day tomorrow.

Saying that it doenst matter if they are black, white, yellow, or blue really. Just Win Baby.

Pop Quiz- name the only team in the NFL that has had a staff that consisted of a Black American General Manager AND a Black American Head Coach?

None first hand...... But the plan to have a coach just for the pass rush means that we will probably bring the house just as much IMO.

Maybe it will also give more focus to containing the edge when we see the pistol or read-option. We know we will see it 4 times a year for the next decade. So we better be damn good at it!

Concerning Pratt:

Someone already stated he worked at IMG.

If you were a highly touted high school kid in Florida going to college you were coached by this guy.

If you were a highly touted draft prospect and would like to train in Florida leading up to the draft you were coached by this guy.

Long time coaching veteran that guys would go to in the offseason to work on their game.

Article says Tom Pratt as a pass-rush specialist. Any bones on him?
He's been coaching (mainly in KC for like forever). Started in the early 1960's - when Buck Buchanon was still playing.

More recently, has been tutoring NFL D-line prospects for IMG's football academy. Worked with Herzlicht leading up to his draft.

Like Moore - has forgotten more than most coaches know.

This is huge! Too some, Tom Moore is to offense what Dick Lebeau is to defense. Love this news!

Feeling a lot better. One caveat - along with these wise old senior heads added to the coaching staff, I hope we blend in a bunch of high-energy young guns who can relate to guys in their twenties and thirties. How awesome would that be?

So it took me forever to get to the end of this thread since so many of you put very informative links with great info on them.

This has to put to rest the SOC's label for even the most ardent supporter of that theory, right Rugby. :)

I wasn't happy about Whis getting fired. I was less than happy with Horton being shown the door. All worth it based on everything that has transpired to this point.

The best thing about having an older coaching staff is that they want to win now. They aren't building for the future, they want to win now.

Isn't that what Goodwin and Bowels are? Or are you speaking about the position coaches?

Coaching staff in general. Just looking for a good mix. & I wouldn't describe Goodwin and Bowles as "young pups" (both have pretty lengthy resumes).

Well Goodwin is 40 which is fairly young in Coaching years. And a young pup compared to Moore. :D

Bowles is 55 so not a young pup.

Based on all the comments from several Colts players Arians didn't have any issues with communicating with the players.

I would expect the Cards will have a number of young, bright assistants to do grunt work. A sort of in house mentoring program.

This would make me do a happy dance in my living room. I would LOVE to hear that Gibbs is coming here.

This is exactly what I take away from this. These old-timers will put 1, maybe 2 years into this. They're almost 80!!! I hope they can teach our young coaches as much as possible as soon as possible.

Wow I dont think anyone doubts Peyton was the big key but other then that, I am not sure you know very much about Tom Moore and his role with PM.

This is a great hire. Jurecki also mentioned Alex Gibbs potentially as a consultant for OL. THAT would be awesome.

Really would be thrilled to get Gibbs. I am a big Bee Gees fan.
