A crazy thought…

The Browns look like a complete dumpster fire.

What if Myles Garrett is on the block?
boy would that be fun. However i cant see the brownies trading away their 1st overall hall of fame pick.

It was mentioned earlier in this thread. Only reason I think they would move off him is create cap space to get rid of Watson.
the Browns are over the cap next year by ~$5m and $15mm in 2026

while not good, its manageable

it just means the Browns will spend the next two years having to gut the middle class portion of their roster in order to pay for Watson to stand on the sideline while watching a journeyman and/or drafted rookie play the position

you dont ditch your best players just because they have a big cap hit ------- you ditch the vets making big $ who are good, but aren't at the top of their position anymore and guys making $5mm a year and replace them with minimum wage players

Agreed, but if they traded their best players away to create cap space to rid themselves of an albatross contract they would be tearing it down to rebuild.

But the Browns would need multiple 1st rounders in order to Secure all options for the New franchise QB.

I would easily send 2x 1st for the best player in the league

Well I should have been more specific and said at this time. No defender is worth giving up two first rounders with where our roster is at right now.
I would disagree.

We have a Young secondary (CB) with potential. We still do not know exactly How Good They Will be, But Williams looks the part as future starter at least at a solid starter level. Melton is Getting more and more snaps with Very High grades. Thomas and Clark are Good players for 3rd to 5th options. Jones is an unknown.

Safety is a packed with talent.

Linebacker is solid and arguebly the easiest position in the league to find capable starter quality.

The issue is pass-rush and D-Line. A bunch of roster worthy players, But completely lacking really Good to elite quality.

1 elite player (pass rusher) and perhaps a 2nd round Big body to go with Robinson, BJ & Lopez, collier, Jones and Nicols (who all in their own right are Good 2nd/3rd string players)

I honestly feel that 1 elite and 1 extra quality player is enough for this defense to be top 10 - if and only if the CB room develop as We are Hoping and We at least see an early indication of.

This makes me chuckle. As one of the leaders of the slow and steady plan, what you’re basically saying is what A LOT of said during FA while sitting on 30 million dollars. But now you think we should do this and ALSO give up multiple first rounders?
