I'd be very surprised if Noah is available.

Same.

I wouldn't hate it, but you've already Got Plumlee and Len. So I'm assuming one of the two would have to be included.

I would give them both up for Noah and not even think twice about it. I love Noah.
But like these other guys I would be shocked if he is available at all.

Noah would be god sent for this team. Suns rank 4th worst in defensive rebounding percentage and rank 5th worst in points allowed in the paint. Noah would fix both of that up.

Like everyone else said, I am close to 99% sure that Noah isn't available.

Last I heard, the Bulls are hoping to woo Melo in the summer by offering him the chance to be coached by Thibs and playing alongside Rose, and Noah.

I doubt Noah is available, but if he were, there is nobody on this roster I wouldn't give up to get him. No picks should be off-limits either.

No way I would give up Len and Plumlee for Noah. He is a nice player but he is not going to get better. He turns 29 in February. What makes the Bulls good is their exceptional defensive scheme.

I agree and especially if you consider that draft picks would also likely be involved. Noah is at his peak and will probably be on a downhill slide before he plays out his next contract. He's better than Len and Plumlee today but he's still just a complementary player. He's probably the best specialist in the game but he's essentially a tall version of PJ Tucker. If he's your 3rd or 4th best player, you love him. If he's your best player, he's a dog. Plumlee will get better, Len will get much better. Don't trade away our future for a player that only makes us marginally better.

^Noah would be our 3rd best player after Bledsoe and Dragic.

Anything more than Okafor and a first for Noah is a bad deal for us.

LOL@ including Len or Plumlee or anyone else of value.

Noah is not that good, he is getting old, he is paid a bunch, offensively he is below average except as a passer and to me he is simply an eyesore to watch play basketball.

No thanks.

No short-term fixes that screw with our assets for the sake of solidiying a playoff berth this year.
It is bad enough that Barbosa is stealing Goodwin's playing time.

Likewise no to Noah - age is a killer and we're growing as a team for now with 100% faith in McDonough's trades / picks.

"It is bad enough that Barbosa is stealing Goodwin's playing time."

Goodwin's not good enough yet, end of the matter.

.

Ha. I've never really liked him that much, but now that you say this, yes, that's it. He is just horrible to watch.

Its funny. We have all this NBA play money to spend (picks, cap space, deep bench) and there is nothing we want to buy.

I'll stick with Len. I am beginning to like what I am seeing from the young man and next year could be a real improvement for him. I look for him to really solidify himself as an NBA player toward the end of next year.

There is no way the Suns should be making any trades to break this team up right now there is no player that is going to get them to the championship this year we are a young team need to let them grow together and continue to build through the draft. Thats how we can build long term success and if the right trade comes around like this summer and we can add young up and coming talent then you do it but there are very few players worth trading for and taking on a big cap number and none of them are available.

For once I kind of agree with Slin.

While I have a higher opinion of Noah, I wouldn't be quick to give up too much for him. He's basically a 10/10 guy who is approaching 30.

Plumlee is a poor mans Noah and is only 25. Not to mention you've got Len who is moving a lot better. If he can stay healthy I think he'll look like a solid pick in a few years.

I agree with everything but the Goodwin part. Goodwin is not ready to be an everyday player, plays out of control out there. Goodwin's playing time isnt being stolen because he has not earned any. Needs a lot more practice and/or time in the D-League. And its not like Barbosa cost us anything to bring in.

I'm hoping to be super wrong on Len and have him end up being a slightly lesser version of Roy hibbert.

I'm pretty optimistic about Len. He's already got a couple things going for him in that he moves well for a guy his size, he's freaking tall, and he gives good effort every time he's on the court. Once he gets stronger and adjusted to the speed of the NBA, I think he'll be a pretty solid starter at center for us for awhile

Holy crap will the real slinslin please stand up. I actually agree with basically everything you say here. Although I think Noah is better than you say he is, the premise of his trade value is still accurate.

If he stays healthy he could end up being a much better player than Hibbert. Roy just wishes he had Len's quickness and footwork. Alex may not get there but at least he has a chance. We haven't had that kind of potential at the center position in a long time (maybe Oliver?). His ankles are still a concern but it's looking like McD took a reasonable gamble.

i think Noah has another decent 3-4 four years in him. Look at how that frame is built and didn't he start basketball a little later than most? Reminds me of Garnett a bit, same intensity just lack of outside game.

I think he'd be worth going after. Just look at how long some bigs have been serviceable in this league; Duncan, Garnett, Thomas, ...

With his motor and intensity, his willingness to rely on defense, it could be something we truly need. He has an awful shot but has been making them more consistently it seems. He could become more effective with attacking guards of Dragic and Bledsoe.

Just depends on what the asking and keeping price is for Noah. Obtaining him would most likely delay Len's development.

If Len can stay free of major health issues I think he can be better than Hibbert as well. Also Len has some fire inside which some bigs never develop.

If he really wants to prove his fire he has to smash his fist into a fire extinguisher ;)
