All i know about it is it is mechwarrior type gaming, which generally makes me not interested. You piqued my curiosity and while wiki searching it I found this

So the guys responcible for the massive acceleration of the COD franchise are the guys behind this company. That makes me very interested. I will still rent it first as I have never enjoyed a game with mechwarriors but if they are at the helm it has promise.

Not really a mechwarrior game. It's a FPS shooter with mechwarriors you can use (a la vehicles in other FPS). It has the feel of COD and HALO mixed.

From what I have seen of Titanfall it's more of a combo COD and Mechwarrior. So you are not stuck in a Mech all the time. Looks really cool to me! Already have it on preorder.

I cant watch at work but will for sure queue up a video on the bigscreen tonight. Sounds cool.

If it is cod crossed with halo it should be awesome I just hope you start with a decent gun instead of having to race to a position on the map to get anything worth shooting at people.

I forgot to update this thread.

Gaming is pretty darn good so far. COD is the same COD as most editions, and that isn't a bad thing. Squads and Extinction modes are quite fun.

Fifa14 is better than the 360 version, but there are several bugs that need to be fixed.

Forza is much better than I thought it would be. I haven't played a Forza game since 2 maybe. I didn't like the drifting part of getting credits. This version is very realistic and caters to every level of racer from beginner to expert. The idea of using the Cloud for human (AI) if you will is amazing. It makes the game infinitely more fun to race against your friends than just the computer.

I haven't played Dead Rising 3 yet, I'll comment on that later.

Now to the bad. The UI is downright frustrating at times. The friends list/activity feed is horribly designed. I don't really care what my friends did 4 hours ago. Show me a quick and dirty list of my friends and what they are doing right now.

Speaking of friends, the party chat mode definitely needs work. If you join a party, it doesn't immediately bring you into party chat? How stupid is that?

There is no way to simply invite your friends to a game without inviting them to a party first?

No battery icon to show you your current battery levels?

There are great ideas from the 360 dashboard and either forgot to add them or simply chose not to.

Those things above have more to do with pigeonholing the XBOX ONE dashboard into a Windows 8 like interface more than anything else I bet. The new Windows 8 OS is cool in someways but restrictive. I am sure they implemented much of the same underlying code to give it a uniform look with their other products.

As much as I think they need to update it....it's still better than the Sony OS on the PS4. That thing is convoluted and not user friendly at all.

Some good points. I have only done team deathmatch so far on COD but love it. I was thinking last night about how the interface rocks but it actually takes longer to see whos online and what they are doing than it used to. Now you have to leave the game, load the friends tab and then click on friends to get off of the stupid feed. You CAN snap activity though and it shows you what people are doing right now.

I was wondering about battery levels, you have answered it - it doesnt show em.

I have tried to click on friends to invite them and it just says join party, wasnt sure if that brought them to my game or not

DCR not sure if i still have you on friends but its Sean McKillin. Daren and madcard add me too, would be cool to see you in a game. I dont really put my headset on but im there.

PS: "Xbox bing - Demo"

I found a nba live, fifa, zoo tycoon and sports demos by doing that.

I wonder how we will find demos and arcade games in the future, the game store is very bulky and not organized how I would prefer it, it seems I have to know what I am looking for to find things.

I always felt like the new windows 8 was trying to be the 360 interface. I am confident they will fix a lot of this though, they obviously listen to their consumers and with the 2x a year updates live has always done they have always done a great job IMO

I was given one at work and I love it. I love the tiles and controlling it with my Surface. Using it to control TV feels cumbersome though.

Not xbox one related but sort of. I have been on vacation for a week or so. I came back last night and wanted to play some BF4. Turned on my old xbox 360 that I have replaced like 5 times. Got system error. Not full red ring though. So I go to Gamestop today and pick up data transfer cable so I can transfer all my data to our 360 slim. I finish transferring data to slim and put in Bf4 disc and it won't read. I try another game and it won't read, and another, and another. Totally pissed because when did the 360 slim warranty expire? 11/28/13!!!!!!!!

I know about the problems with the old 360's, like I said I have replaced a few of them over the years, and had just exchanged it 1 month ago before the year warranty I purchased ran out. Dude asked if I wanted another warranty and I said, "nah, just need to have this get me to xmas because I got the xbox one". Now I am really bent that 2 machines crapped out on me within 24 hours. I am seriously considering selling my xbox one day one edition and may go the PS4 route. The slim was a xmas gift last year...it didn't even last a year. Unfreakingbelievable.

After further review and a night of Netflix, the voice command are amazing and there is so more your can do with the Surface. I wife hates it since she thinks it is too much like 1984, but when she could not find the TV remote to turn the volume down and I said "Xbox volume down", she smiled and then tried to play it off. Now that I am getting comfortable with it, I am going to try to run it through the TV again.

BTW, I love Dead Rising. No Walking Dead tonight, but some zombies will be dying in my screen.

I got lucky and only have one 360 die on me, it was a launch console and died like 4 years in, then I bought the black one and still have it.

Is dead rising more similar to part one or part 2?

This is the first one I have played since this is my first XBox. I went XBox over Sony because of the ability to use my Phone, Laptop and Surface with it and sync all my media between all 4 devices.

I tried Amazon Instant Video this weekend with the Kids. They watched Goonies for the first time and loved it. Voice commands worked great except for when my wife came up and asked if "Are you guys watching that through the Xbox One..." and the Xbox picked up her voice and took us to the home screen. :D

I hope someone creates an app that will talk back to you. I want my wife to tell it to turn off and then in the 2001 voice say, "I am afraid I cannot let you do that Lee Ann."

Dead Rising is awesome, especially co-op.

I really started getting into it last night after some casual play over the weekend. I was all confused why some guy poped on my screen with me in daisy dukes and then figured out it was co-op. I just beat the biker gang.

Co-op this time? split screen storyline or is it a seperate thing like that game show in dead rising 2? Local coop right?

They can go do thier own missions if they want you can work together. They appear as a large green arrow when they do on thier own.

Ok so online people can get in your game, is local co-op not available? Thats typical in todays gaming to overlook that gamers have friends and family next to them on the couch vs online friends.

Local co-op is not possible. I'm sure it has to do with the rendering and making sure the frame rates stay up.

It's possible. They just didn't code it that way. This kind of pisses me off nowadays. Developers taking the easy way out with local co-op. I am sure this had more to do with the lack of lead time for a launch title. However, you could easily do local co-op.

Now they opt for you only doing online multiplayer or if you have multiple consoles in the same house allowing it that way. It kinda sucks. Yes, it cuts down on screen quality but at least give people the option. Heck...you hardly hear anybody complain about HALO split screen or COD split screen back in the day...people were just fine with it.
