    Sf 49ers Wtf?

I remember thinking both Seattle and SF really reached last year as well, but those seemed to work out pretty well.

Who Are Your Biggest Misses in Previous Drafts?

I remember thinking Raynoch Thompson was our answer at OLB. Actually that entire draft of 2000 I was sure would help us turn the corner: -Thomas Jones (found success other places just not here) -Raynoch Thompson (He was so fast, he'd run right by you!) -Darwin Walker (3rd rounder that never...

Which player was the keystone to Bama's D?

Yeah, I think his quote was something about being one of the smartest football players he's ever coached (or something like that). That's what makes me hesitant about Barron. Actually it makes me hesitant about all Alabama players. I'm nervous that alot of their success is the scheme and the...

I can't wait for Thursday evening

Yeah, me too. It can't come soon enough. I think all the possibilities at 13 make it more enticing this year, as opposed to last year where we pretty much knew it was Von Miller or Peterson. Not having a 2nd does suck though.

Notes from Steven Keim Interview on Channel 3

Great post. I wonder if any of it is a smokescreen? It doesn't seem like they've done much of that in the past though. I'm really fearfull of Glenn. Peter King wrote that we're really high on him also. I'm hoping this is a smokescreen 'cause I don't think he'll make it at RT and he just...

Picks that get me pumped at 13

My head would say it has to be Reiff. Good value (according to the talking heads/websites) in the area of biggest need. It's just hard to get excited about it. My heart would say Kuechly. The idea of he and DWash as a 1/2 punch is awesome. In the end, I'd go with my head - Reiff.

Picks that get me pumped at 13

This wait for the draft is killing me. I've gone back and forth a few times about who I'm most excited about us getting. Here are the scenarios that currently put a smile on my face(in no particular order): Luke Kuechly - super instinctive, smart and athletic too, pairing him with DWash in...

My top 2, ideal Cardinal draft scenarios

Awesome players in every round?? If that's true, this could be the best draft ever!!

who is your steal of the draft

WR Ryan Broyles - injured, might go 4th or 5th round, could be good slot rec. WR DeVier Posey - some off the field issues kept him off the field most of last year but he's fast, good size, might not go until 5th or 6th round, has potential to be a great #2 OT - Nate Potter - has size and...

Mike Mayock's interesting take on Cards draft philosophy and 49er's impact.

Poe does not strike me as overly 'tough' more of a work out warrior. Cox seems more in line with 'tough', but I really hope we don't go defensive line in the first. That thought does get me more intersted in Upshaw. I've been reading a few places how he is seen as a perfect fit at OLB for...

My top 2, ideal Cardinal draft scenarios

I'd be happy with either first rounder and ecstatic over the Broyles pick. Don't know much about the other guys.

    Need for QB??

I'm hopefull that our improved run game can provide us more offensive success with less demands on our QB. Heck-our defense allowed Skeltons less-then-impressive efforts to win most of those games at the end, and that was with a banged-up Beanie. If we have a healthy Beanie and Williams...

    Need for QB??

Good point. Never thought about it that way.

    Need for QB??

I keep seeing people having us take a QB in the later rounds (from 3 down), but I just don't see it. Yes, we are less than solid at QB. To me, the Payton Manning situation makes all the sense in the world (or Andrew Luck/RGIII if we were in that position) but not another develpmental guy. We...

    3rd Round Pick

Bobby Wagner OLB (assuming an OL in the 1st)

Who is your late round, take a chance pick

That seems more in line with where I'd value him, but I've seen quite a few people thinking he'd go later. Who knows. Even in the 4th I think he'd be solid value, 5th I'd be excited, 6th would be a no-brainer.

    BB's 2012 Cardinals Draft v.1.0 and last

I don't know much about some of these players, but I like the logic used and the needs addressed. In that scenario I'd take Floyd also. Seems like he'd be a great fit with Fitz. For my mock I'm looking for a 3rd round OLB too, but keep reading different things from different sources and don't...

Who is your late round, take a chance pick

Devuer Posey WR OSU. They are saying he could be had in the 6th. If so, IMO he'd be a steal.

Who will we draft with our first pick

I'm fine with taking Barron if all the other picks that I consider 'value' are gone (DeCastro, Reiff, Ingram, Kuechly, Floyd). At that point, I assume the pro's in our war room know what's up. What gives me heartburn is when there is someone I think has value at a position of need that we...

    Draft Value Chart

Cool chart. I'll keep this on hand for draft day. After just glancing at it, I really like DeVier Posey -OSU WR in the bottom of the 6th. They have Broyles -Oklahmoma WR going at the bottom of the 3rd. I like the idea of him in the 4th if we haven't picked up a WR yet.

    Barron bait?

This could be, but we have 2 good safeties already. I would think AW has 2-3 more top-tier years left. We do need to be developing one behind them, but Barron is good enough to pretty much neccessitate playing time right away. To me, Barron has alot more value to teams in desperate need for...

    Barron bait?

I'd think if DeCastro was there, he'd be our pick. I hear what you're saying about finding quality OG's in later rounds, but the talking heads say he's a sure thing (knocking on wood), and if we can get a 10 year starter with strong pro-bowl potential at any position (except kicker/punter)...

    Ryan Broyles Anyone?

In the 5th I'd be running to the podium. I'd be interested in the 4th.

What needs to happen for value pick

I'd love it if both of those happened! I've been harboring a dream about Kalil falling and us trading up to get him, maybe to 7. Would probably take a #3 this year and maybe a #2 next year but I'd do it.
