um... so... the knicks are up 3 with 2:35 left, Carmelo is single-handedly carrying them in the fourth quarter and... he never gets another shot again in the game? is that not an exact carbon copy of what happened in game 1 when Amare was dominating, the knicks were up 3 with 2:37 left and... he never touched the ball or shot it again?

DA... just classic DA...

Didn't you NOT want Carmelo to get shots lat in game 1?

I don't think that is the point he is trying to make. When your "hot" guy for a given game is basically not used down the stretch of big games it seems pretty stupid.

D'Antoni instead of being creative and getting guys the ball down the stretch.....he usually sticks to the same game plan even when the other team has adjusted. The other thing he does is completely go away from the guy.

D'Antoni is notorious for his inability to make in game adjustments. They almost always come the next game. I remember tons of tons of games with D'Antoni running the high pick and roll over and over even though the opposing team had figured out the play.

Seems to me going away from the guy who is being double teamed or doubled down low is the easy way out for him. Much easier than trying to make in game adjustments to get said player the ball. In our case he could have tried pick and rolls from the wing or double picks. Instead he would just try and force things with Nash on the EXACT same play. No creativity whatsoever. Just force feeding no matter what.

at the point where Amare was dominating and Carmelo was stinking up the joint and settling for thirty footers... uh... no. you ride the hot hand who can't be stopped. not literally go the rest of the game without him even touching it.

I gotta give props to the Lakers for winning despite Kobe & Gasol playing like complete crap.

Whats wrong with Kobe though? Even though Gasol sucked offensively, he at least played decent job on defense and boxing out for rebounds.

Kobe was awful defensively today. Everyone just blew past him and does not know how to not foul when someone shoots a 3? When you have a bad shooting night, you have to try to make a difference in other ways and Kobe was not able to do that at all.

Bynum is pretty good I heard.

Marc Gasol played another very good game against the Spurs too.

Bynum, when he's healthy and when he's focused is probably the best big man in the league. However, he's often injured and not always focused so it makes it hard to accurately place his value. Marc is getting better every year and probably has at least as much potential as his brother. I suspect you're trying to be subtle here but I'll say what so many of us have said to you before. Watch Gortat play, he may not be Bynum but he's a lot better than Robin and most teams would love to have him starting for them.

Marc is not on the same level as his brother but still very good. Where can I watch Gortat play?

As for my beloved Spurs things don't look very promising right now. Two close games and Pop sticking with the turd towers of Bonner and Blair for long stretches. Manu, RJ and Duncan saved us yesterday but Grizzlies are very good and it will be a very tough series. I'm very impressed with the Grizzlies and their D. They play tough like this game is supposed to be played.

Haven't you told him how good Splitter is? Maybe he needs reminding.

The Spurs are has beens, Duncan is a shell of his former self and is declining like a credit card in the hood. Next year they won't have the best record, I am so glad the dirty, whiny, ******* spurt is over.

wow... so you only show up after a win... and the other team you like has the best record in the league. good grief, can you be any more of a front-runner?

This is pathetic. I am here because it's thursday night here and I have Easter hollidays tomorrow. It seems I really got under your skin for some reason. Lighten up, life is good.

I also like the Pistons by the way. And next week I will be pretty busy, thursday and friday I will be away on a trip to Finland and I'm not sure I can post anything here. I apologize in advance.
