Im not sure why they did Kneel downs in the shotgun. Seems like a very risky move, plus the whole stat thing

I said that last year, and I have no idea what they are thinking by doing it. I guess if its a bad snap they have a bit more time to jump on it, but with our luck all three of them would bounce off each other and it would fly to a defender who runs for a TD.

I'm going to sut Simmons some slack. Running backs and D-line are positions that can excel as rookies. Every other position needs time.

this is a bit confusing. This is not a new role for him?
Playing as a read and react LB in a scheme is a new role for Simmons. He is used to playing multiple spots almost independent of the scheme around him. He is also much more comfortable in space.

I’d give him a couple waggles to get some rhythm initially.

The way the Seahawks move Russel around is a thing of beauty. The Rams play action game looks good tonight too.

I think that we depend on the RPO too much...which is fine....but a traditional play action roll out/waggle would accomplish the same thing. Get Kyler out on the edge with a clear throwing lane or the ability to tuck it and run.

C. Jones 1 sack
N. Boss 0 sacks

Jones was being held on every play.

Bosa went by humphries untouched.

Its the same old argument..."DJ only gave up 2 sacks last year".....yea because we have one of the top 3 shiftiest QB's in the league. He gave up at least 10 pressures today, including several plays where Bosa literally ran past him without being slowed down in the slightest.

Washington’s defense is no joke...will be another tough matchup.

Chase Young is the real deal. He was all over the place today. IMO he was the only sure thing in the draft. There is no way that guy is not an all-pro

You just can't rely on that every passing down as it severely limits your wrs route tree. I do agree that on first downs or second and short it would be a gem. He must learn to calm down in the pocket and count on there being a pocket there for him to step up into.

Borrom line, I had this game penciled in as a lose! Great job!

We won the opening game that is away playing last years NFC Champions who are also division rivals & people are going to bitch about it? To me that's totally unacceptable. Nobody predicted us to win. Probably not even you.

Nobody is bitching about it but let's not pretend it was all roses we we played brilliantly, controlled the game and looked like superbowl contenders.

The first half was super rough. There were some really bad play calls and some poor decisions on the field. Everybody is super pleased for the win but that doesn't mean you ignore some obvious issues.
