He not only hits home runs but seems to have a knack for hitting them in clutch situations. I definitely see a lot more intentional walks in his future.

Can someone let Paul Goldschmidt know that there's a young man in Tasmania with a serious man-crush on him!

Holy moley!

every dbacks fan should be getting their votes in for Goldie...he definitely deserves to be an All Star. He's got to be a shoo in for the Home run Derby this year as well right?

So on the all-star ballot, Adam Eaton is a selection but Parra is not. What a joke. Goldy is first in every category there is, and yet is 600k votes behind Votto, and trails Belt (who has no business AT ALL even being in the all-star game).

Eff the stupid voting process. Bochy will bring Goldy in.

Perhaps you have not seen Belt's sparkling stat line:

Key Stats
G AB R H HR RBI BB KO SB BA
58 182 26 44 6 28 19 43 2 0.2418

How could Goldy compete with this?

Remember, every geeky Giant fair weather fan has opened up at least 100 email accounts to vote.

This is why I prefer the NFL's version of pro bowl voting. Only 1/3 of the fans' votes make an impact and the other 2/3 are comprised of players/coaches votes. And it determines the entire roster and not just starters. It prevents a situation in which lackluster (or even injured) players are appointed starters and prevents the manager from bringing in too many of his own players (see Brenly bringing in like 6 D-Backs in 2002).

Quite frankly, most voting fans don't have a clue what they're doing when they vote. I bet Jeter is going to get a significant amount of votes simply because of name and wearing pinstripes; yet, he hasn't played all season.

If anything, Votto should be putting pine tar on Goldy's bats, not starting ahead of him in the all-star game.

Freaking replay! So sick of hearing about "the human element" and other nonsense excuses for why we have to put up with terrible umpiring.

The umpires aren't just bad they're idiots. That guy from the S.L. series was unbelievable.

Use the pitch trax and give managers one appeal a game.

Couldn't agree more.

Kennedy two games ago. Now Cahill. Hudson's re-injury.

Our starting rotation later this season is going to look quite different than last year's.

Good think we have an abundance of strong, young pitchers.

WTF kind of drug was Gibson taking? The starting lineup made absolutely no sense at all, and Gibson leaving Cahill in long enough to ensure a loss for us makes me wonder if he had a bet on the side here (just being sarcastic).

A miserable night, and I think Gibby had much to do with it.

Parra hitting seventh!!! WHAT?????
