Nope. I have it DVR'd and will watch it at least 2 more times and I'm certain my previous statement(s) still stand.

Good. I'd like to read where Kolb actually made more than a couple of plays that would give any indication he will ever be more than a backup quality QB. I see other QBs make throws where I go, ok, he's got the vision, the poise, and the arm for the NFL. I don't see that with Kolb.

Point is, most of our games have been down to the 4th quarter. We've probably lost more games by 4 points or less than any team in the NFL. That is a sign of a team on the rise. Get our offensive line solidified (doesn't even have to be good, just solid) and get Kolb comfortable in the pocket, and we're winning games next year.

This game being close had very little to do with Kolb. This was all special teams and Defense.

Kolb gets time to throw frequently, the only difference in those plays is when he gets sacked its for more yardage. He makes bad decisions no matter how much time he gets, and the majority of the hits he takes are because he is hopeless at finding a hot read.

Again, nope. Too easy to write off a QB after a few bad games (half a season with us, that's it!). And you want to write him off? Ridic. Just like I said of those other teams in Tampa, giving up SB QB's after a short time. That's the example. Ridiculous to write a dude off after 6 games in our season with no pre-season, no offseason, no nothing. The idea is preposterous.

Look at his career so far. There is NOTHING AT ALL that says he is any better than say DA!!! There simply is nothing. It is not just 7 games, it is his whole career. The guy has had a couple or maybe a few good games. But he has not shown anything consistantly good. Which if you watch football consistancy is extremely important. Dig your heels in if you want behind this guy. But he has a long enough track record to show he is not going to be a QB a team can build the future around.

And on a bright note, our youngsters, Acho and Scho played significant minutes and produced significant results. More than Porter or Haggans had all year. I expect to see them a lot more the rest of the year. Bradley also played more minutes than normal also, but made a stupid penatly on special teams which limited his time.

This is very true! And another indictment of this coaching staff. They are so stuck on Steelers players and coaches that they refuse to see there is another way. Grimm needs firing this week. He should have been gone two years ago.

Any of you saying Kolb sucks don't have a clue. I'll try to address you all at once, since there seem to be a lot of you. You don't know what you're talking about. The dude hasn't even played a full season for us. We're losing games by minimal points. All it takes is some cohesion on the offensive line and some more familiarity with the plays and his offensive line, before Kolb starts making the easy plays that are out there. Ditching a QB this early is just asinine. Teams have done it and have paid the price. We paid big money, let's see what he has. You certainly don't give up those Benjamins without even finding out, which is what you guys want to do.

Kolb’s total lack of pocket presence has to worry the Cardinals, who have now lost 11 straight on the road. Arizona had plenty of chances to win but so often Kolb ran backwards and didn’t know where the pressure was coming from.

The pressure Baltimore put on Kolb was a big factor. Kolb remained hit-and-miss in how he dealt with the pressure. Sometimes, he scrambled to make plays, as when he found Early Doucet in the first half. He somehow avoided a sack that might have moved the team out of realistic field-goal range while trailing 27-24. Other times, Kolb risked sacks and turnovers. He's an adventure at a position where teams need consistency over time. The Cardinals converted just twice on 11 third-down opportunities.

He has never shown an ounce of ability that qualifies him to be a starter... and he is 27 years old. They never should have traded for him to begin with.

It would be one thing if he was showing flashes of brilliance, but Kolb has no strengths, none. There is no area of play where you can say "Kolb is good there, if he could just figure out the rest of his game." No, instead he blows at every single aspect of his job, and there is no indication that he will improve because he has never shown potential.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what Kolb has as a QB that makes him special. All I hear are excuses for why he isn't playing better or that we shouldn't give up on him because other teams did it and it backfired.

Is Kolb astute at reading defenses? Looking off Safeties? Making the throw to the right spot so only his receiver can catch it? Does he have a quick release? A strong arm? Pocket presence ??????????????? I don't see anything special from him in any of those areas. I see a decent #2 QB at best which is basically what he was in Philly.

What is it other than he wears the Cards uniform and guys with a dubious track record of talent evaluation paid him a bunch of money that has people saying he's the QBOF?

Oh by the way if we are going to use history as a guide the Cards have brought in two other highly touted backup QBs to be starters, Gary Hogebust and Steve Beerline. So there's that.

Based on your judgements? Because you're the judge of NFL talent? He went from a west coast offense to a much more sophisticated vertical oriented offense where he has to make multiple reads and adjustments on any given play. I'm sure, given your extensive knowledge, you know exactly how difficult that is to translate, but apparently for Kolb it's been an adjustment period. I only wish he had your mental capacity to pick up these different offenses and offensive formations, schemes, and substitutions.

In any case, ditching a QB, who's only 27 (you act like that's old) after 7 games, is, quite frankly, a complete joke.

It is not the oline, Kolb has more time than Kurt... He has no clock in his head. He had a lot of time plenty of times against the Ravens and Steelers.

Like i said Matt leinart, DA, Hall, Skelton, Bartell, Croyal, or Kolb does not matter.
When every offensive player has to read rather it is a 3-5 or 7 step drop every down. They have to all be on the same page and thety are not!

Opposing defenses don't have that problem. The offensive player's advantage of knowing where the play is going is eliminated. They don't all read, react together or seem to know the count-drop-or protection the player next to them expects.

Does Graves know he supervises the coaches? any given Sunday?

I'm not saying he's "special". Nor have I said he's the answer. I've posted tons about Kolb, and nowhere did I say he was the answer. If anything, I've said he's the reason we're losing. We're losing by such minimal margins, that his mistakes are easy for me to look back on. That being said, it's been half a season. Trying to judge some dude with no offseason, no workouts (didn't even get to know the guys), no nothing, judging him after that, in my opinion, is a joke.

Get the guy some reps, let him learn the system, then decide if he's a failure. Some people just want to be right about Kolb, before even letting him learn the system and get comfortable. If he's a failure next year or the year after then fine. But after half a season, I'm saying people just want to whine.

I laugh at everyone ripping Kolb. 99% of you were all for getting Kolb and after the first week were all excited about him. He might not be a great quarterback but this is his first year as a starter with one of the worst offensive lines. Kevin is going to be the qb here not only this year but next year too. He needs time to grow and the fans need to be patient. Go back to Warner's first year when he fumbled late in the game against the Rams, many of you were yelling to bench him in favor of Leinart. How did that work out?

The Cardinals are not going to make the playoffs but what I want to see in the second half of the season is some growth. People can scream for change but I will be there next week against the Rams pulling for my team. Patience is a virtue.

WHAT DOES HE DO WELL? Seriously, he shows NO strengths! His entire arsnal is a bunch of varying degrees of weaknesses! It would be one thing if there were some silver lining to his game, but we have yet to see it.

Forget routes, reads and whatever, THE GUY CANT HIT WIDE OPEN GUYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD!!! He keeps making the same mistakes over and over and over.

As I said, the more we see about him the more we learn that his entire career is not a fluke, the guy is a crap QB. There is a reason no other team wanted him, a reason the Eagles despite having an injury prone QB were desperate to ship him off. Its because he sucks.

A virtue that should have been applied to a QB that the team drafted and developed on their own. Not to a pile of garbage that the team stupidly panic traded for ENTIRELY because they want to win now.

And by the way, I hated the idea of getting Kolb back when it was only a rumor.

Totally ridiculous statement. Like saying Steve Young sucked because he played with a crappy Bucs team, and looked terrible. Actually, same thing with Doug Williams and the Bucs. Bucs got some bad luck. Point is, you don't know what you're talking about. You can't know. You got your panties all in a twist because we suck this year and decided to rant.

No, you don't know what your talking about. If thats where you want to go with this. Some players look like they have alot of potential and some don't. Kolb doesn't. I have seen all that I need to see of him to know he will never be the next Peyton Manning. Just like at mid season last year I knew that Derrick Anderson was never going to be the next Peyton Manning. It's not rocket science although Kolb to me will be an average QB, he will never take us to the Superbowl. We have the chance to draft the next Peyton Manning and be a winning team for the next ten or fifteen years. After mostly sucking for 100 years I don't mind if the team sucks for one more ( and they will this year regardless ) if it means we draft the next Peyton Manning. I don't mind losing for one year ( we are already going to have a losing record ) if it means we will have a great future. You can't win every year and we are for sure not going to have a winning record this year.

I am one of those people that cusses and throws stuff every time the Cards lose. There is nothing in this life that I put over my Cardinals. Nothing means more to me than my Cardinals. I am a total fanatic, but at this point ( only one win all season ) I would do anything for this team to get a Peyton Manning type of QB. I would sell my soul if the Cards would have a winning team for the next ten years. That is how much I want this team to win.

Yep. That's why I keep trying to find some positive growth, anywhere I can find it. We're not going anywhere, only thing left is to find some positives and evaluate. Like with Acho and Scho today, I'd say that was a success.

So yes, you think you're a pro evaluator of NFL talent. You should get a job in the front office. Your whole post was what you saw and what you think and what you believe. Yes, you're one of those people alright. Doesn't matter what you saw, which is what I've been trying to tell you. There's much more talented dudes than you that have been wrong before, and after half a season I have no doubt you're wrong as well.

I shouldn't have to say it again, but I will, you've no clue what you're talking about.

I too am a part of the 1% and stand by it. Kolb and Warner are and were two completely different guys. Warner had been a winner and many thought he was past his prime. Kolb on the other hand is in what should be his prime and he still sucks. And Kolb was paid WINNER LEADERSHIP WINNER money Warner was not.
