Yeah, Walker is a no for me. He may be better than Payton, but not at three or four times the salary.

I think this is what it comes down too although I like Walker as a player.

I would love for us to target Clint Capela in free agency. Julius Randle too if the money isn't outrageous.

() = draft picks
[] = free agents
<> = buyout/expiring/trade candidates

PG: (Gilgeous-Alexander) / Booker / <Knight>
SG: Booker / Jackson / (Simons) / <Knight>
SF: Jackson / Warren
PF: [Randle] / Williams / Bender / <Chriss>
C: [Capela] / Williams / <Chandler> / Bender

Ugh, Between Randle, Capella, and Williams, the lane is going to be so clogged that it will be impossible to get to the rim. I am pretty sure any poster here could design a defense that will ensure Suns don't score more than 90 points in a game. There is less three-point shooting in that rotation than there is right now. No thanks. Also...in your scenario, the Suns are drafting Simons (no idea who that even is) and Alexander? Did you forget about the top-4 pick?

See my post in the other thread. I want to move down to take Gilgeous-Alexander. He can shoot the three and drive the lane. Simons is also a fantastic shooter. Check his tape. Also, Booker is going to take a lot of shots and what good is Bender if he doesn't develop as a stretch big by next season?

If we are out of Bagley / Ayton range then I would be for Randle / Capela.

If we spent this entire year being the worst team in the league to end up with Gligeous-Alexander as our top rookie, and it's not because we were able to trade for Anthony Davis, I might actually cry.

You would move down from a difference maker far enough that your first pick would be Shai? That’s crazy. It’s better to keep that top pick and leverage the Miami and bucks picks with other assets to move up and grab Shai as an ADDITIONAL talent not the primary one.

I'd feel the same with Doncic

He's rocketing up draft boards and should be the first PG off the board. Are you watching him in the tourney?

I like Alexander but perhaps the Suns can trade up with other assets to get him. The NCAA tournament is only a small piece of the picture.

Pretty sure Doncic is going to be the first PG off the board, and it's not even close. Unless you don't think Doncic is a PG?

He's not even the PG on Real Madrid. No way he is a primary ball handler in the NBA despite his assist numbers.

That'd be great. He has been very good all season and is playing his best basketball right now.

We must get a PG in this draft.

After the luster has worn off Payton, it certainly looks this way.

Height: 6-8 | Weight: 228

After playing 80 games in the 2016-17 season, Doncic went straight into preparation for EuroBasket, which extended deep into September, giving him no offseason whatsoever. His body is paying the toll for that now, as he clearly hit a wall in February and was recently shut down by Real Madrid for at least a couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see if Doncic can regain his early season form heading into the EuroLeague and ACB playoffs, which will help him re-establish his candidacy for the No. 1 pick.

The tournament has tipped off. Your picks are locked in. It's time to find out how your bracket is holding up. Check your brackets

Doncic would be a dream pick for the Grizzlies, as he has the size, skill and versatility to fit in well alongside all their existing talent, while possessing quite a bit of star potential in his own right.

LMAO Doncic has nothing in common with Simmons other than being a good passer. Doncic is a wing who will have plus assist numbers. There is more to running an offense than driving and dishing anyway.

Good thing there is a lot more PG qualities in Doncic than just driving and dishing.

The Suns should not draft Alexander with their first pick but he appears to be moving up in the draft. A couple of mock draft sites have him going at #12.
