Cardinals are expected to release OT Levi Brown, whom Arizona selected with the fifth pick in the 2007 draft ahead of RB Adrian Peterson.

Doug and Wolf:

Wolf just said there is a lot of misinformation out there. One example:

He knows for a FACT that dinner with Peyton was not at Whiz's house.

Hadn't seen this report disputed anywhere til he said it.

And yet Wolf didn't say where it WAS.

That kind of stuff makes me nuts.

(Unless the F.O. is asking everyone to keep this as close to the vest as possible. I can understand that. Especially if they have a super-secret place they stashed him while he was here and want to use it again. Hope springs eternal.)

The funniest part of that segment was they said listen to the Denver Post. They seem to be getting more details right versus the insiders or our own local media.

LOL.

Unnecessary roughness, Schefter!

I think we tried our best under practical circumstances. We rolled out our red carpet and offered what we have. It is PM's decision if he wants to come here or not, we are open to it. But...
I do not think we should bend over backwards just for PM. The team was here before and will be here after PM. It is a team sport and how would others on the team feel if we gave the reigns to PM and went out of our way top accomodate him? We have good things here in AZ and have a bright future. If Peyton chooses not to come here then up to him.
Personally I think we are two offensive lineman away from a playoff run rather than a QB.

All of these extra trips dont seem to be serious. He is only meeting with the coaches and not even going to the facilities.

In the end I still think it is between Denver and the Cards. Him waiting and having token meetings with a few other teams does a few things. Makes Denver and us sweat a little bit which will bring more money and focus those two teams to do more in free agency the next few days to really sell themselves. I always thought it was smart for Manning to wait until Friday to see how the beginning of free agency plays out to see rosters shape up a little more before making his decision. Manning does know about the Kolb bonus and when it is due. If he doesnt make his decision by Friday then we will know our answer.

I tend to agree. I think he's doing his due dilliegence, and unless there is mad chemistry between he and one of these other coaches he's probably already made up his mind between the Donkey and the Cards.

No matter his decision, I don't hold this "extra time" against him. He's just being thorough.

I just can't believe though that having Fitzgerald at the dinner didn't seal the deal. I mean Fitz is a clone of Manning at the WR position. They both are extremely hard working, motivated and have the desire to be the best even when they have reached the pinnacle. Manning would have his ultimate WR teammate and they could sit and watch video for days together. And if we signed Wayne....Wow. I can't believe that he doesn't see that.

Peyton Manning met between 5 & 6 hours late today with #Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and other staff members in Indianapolis, per sources.

Please be over already.

Peyton met with Dolphins coaches in Indy even though he has a house in Miami and that's where he was supposed to be?

It all makes perfect sense now.

NOBODY knows what the heck is going on.

That tweet is good news. It means he is fast-tracking interviews. At least his search process looks to be done soon. Maybe as soon as tomorrow. I look for a decision on Wednesday at this point.

I agree. I was worried that he wouldn't meet with MIA or TEN until Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully, Peyton will grant the Titans a token interview tomorrow and it'll be over.

I wish he were interviewing with all the teams the Cards will be playing next year so he could see their playbooks before he signs with our beloved Redbirds.

Bet he wanted to avoid another Miami media frenzy. Yeah that bodes well for his long term prospects in South Beach.

From twitter, retweeted by Urban:
NFLN's @JeffDarlington reported earlier Manning was "underwhelmed with the structure in place" with the Dolphins. #Rosseffect

Don't expect Cardinals to be active in FA until Manning decides. Put some of their own FAs on hold until it is

so... we're gonna wait and possibly lose out on possible key members of FA for a possible pipe dream? man... I REALLY hope they get him if this is the tact they're taking.
