Peyton is really screwing the Broncos as far as attracting FA WRs. If they sign there, they could either get Peyton Manning or Tim Tebow throwing to them. That's quite a risk.

If money is a major factor...then Tennessee wins....Their owner said he will write a blank check.

There is still a pesky thing called the salary cap. So a salary of eleventy billion dollars may not work out so well.

He's essentially going to be the offensive coordinator wherever he goes. Why not pay him the minimum salary for a veteran player, plus eleventy billion per year as the offensive coordinator?

Cards vs Saints in Hall of Fame game. They could really hype it up if Manning signs with us! Manning vs Brees rematch! For maybe one series of downs anyway. :D

The good thing is: at 1pm Arizona time Friday, the Cardinals revert to Plan B if PM hasn't picked us by then. That means no more than two days of suspense before it's over one way or the other.

Either way I'm a Cardinal fan for life. :)

Fox sports is reporting its between denver and tenn....time for the meltdown to begin

They got that from Schefter, and Schefter said that before he even met with the Titans, so it sounds more like a gut reaction to wanting to play where he played college ball. I still don't think Manning will like Bud Adams. But if like recent reports late last night and this morning are true, money is a much bigger factor then the manning camp was leading everyone to believe.

Everyone is grasping at straws. Peyton isnt talking to anyone - and especially anyone who is going to leak his info. I just wish people would admit they have no clue and quite tyring to be the first to "scoop"....Logic dictates that if we werent thr front runners yesterday we certainly should be today after Wayne siogned with the Colts.

I mean how can Tennessee be in the Top 2? He hasnt even spoken with them yet, as thats scheduled for today.

Now more then ever with this whole Peyton drama I think these analysts at ESPN and the like have these meetings to strategize to keep fanbases involved and excited and drive traffic to their links and twitter pages. No one can disprove "rumors" so whats the worst case scenario for these outlets?

There isnt one. Guess well find out whats real soon enough.

The media and Shefter don't know a dang thing. Haven't you been watching. They've been grasping at every straw just to see how high you jump.
Remember - HE'S GOING TO MIAMI stories.....that was the rage. He was going to visit Miami and sign there...ugh he didn't even go there.
REMEMBER how they said Peyton would not visit AZ...but he did
REMEMBER how they said Peyton never threw...he tossed the ball to Fitz and Roberts
REMEMBER how fast they forgot about AZ visit
REMEMBER how they said Reggie Wayne and Peyton were a PACKAGE DEAL

How many stories are you going to fall for before you understand they don't know ****?

The ONLY people in the loop with this story are Peyton, his wife and his agent....and they aren't talking.

No matter where he signs, you can be certain that the talking heads will be claiming that it turned out just as they had predicted. ;)

I agree...I'd be more impressed with some reporter who said....no one has any clue....I don't know why the rest of my profession makes up stories just to have their name heard.
Finally PFT has stopped posting every rumor.

You're exactly right I stopped listening to what they had to say a long time ago. My favorite is when one of the NFL network so-called insiders was giving his opinion of his belief on how Manning was going to sign with either Denver or Tennessee stating that he was currently meeting with Tennessee at the time. They then went to a reporter standing outside the Tennessee facilities and that local reporter reported that Peyton Manning had yet to commit to a time and a place to meet with the members of Tennessee. Of course the net segment the same so-called insider stated Denver Tennessee and the Cardinals were still in the mix and that Manning would meet with Tennessee on Wednesday. He didn't even make an attempt to clarify why he reported he was already currently meeting with them. This whole thing is a joke I'm going to wait until he signs a contract.

Those reports about money are coming from Denver....not trusting them any more than anything else out there.

Just because the initial talks were not contractual doesn't mean that "it isn't all about the money." No one has ever said that, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't so. We've probably been lulled into accepting CW based on a false sense of reality.

The Kenny Britt who only played 3 games last year, and in his biggest year had 775 yards (granted he had 9 TD's)?

Yes, that Kenny Britt.

He was a freaking MONSTER in the 3 games he played before injury.

Because he was hurt doesn't mean he isn't their number one target.

Again, he's no Larry and I just don't see Peyton wanting to jump to a division rival.

Everyone knows it's going to take +-$20 million-per-season to sign Manning. Peyton's made so much cash in his career that I really doubt money is going to be the deciding factor.

Potential to win will be.
