Will be interesting to see how Genry reintegrates Grant Hill. I haven't even looked the matchups.

Gotta have this game!

I'm not sure why Frye was called for a foul when Scola was bumping his shoulder into him. I just don't see where Frye falling down is a foul new rules or not.

I have been on the Gortat bandwagon ever since he got here but I'm getting ready to hop onto slimslin's trade Gortat bandwagon.

He's been so weak lately....getting pushed around on the boards, not taking it hard to the rim and drops passes on a daily basis.

Camby has 17 REBOUNDS in the 1st half alone!!!

Lopez was pulled to the floor by Lowry... Lopez was called for the foul.

Frye contending under the board with Scola with no apparent foul... Frye called for the foul again.

Bynum had 30 boards the other night against the Spurs...you guys think Camby can top that tonight vs the Suns?

Frye has a habit of using both arms/hands to push guys off the block when playing post defense. So, going by the rule book, the refs can call a foul on him most times down the court. I dunno if that's what the ref called in that particular case - the official who called it really couldn't have seen Frye's arms, given his position/angle - but a no-call would've been fine with me.

Honestly, our big guys need to stop going for the charge as their default defensive option. That's one thing I like about Lopez. Robin doesn't have the foot speed or body control to take charges, so he goes after blocks with reckless abandon. A lot of times, Robin just ends up swinging wildly and hoping for the best, but amidst all that chaos, the shooter doesn't have a clear view of the basket. But everybody else - Gortat, Morris, Frye (to a lesser extent) - all default to the charge. And I dunno about you guys, but it's not very imposing when the main thing a 6 foot pg has to worry about when driving the lane is that he might knock down one of the guys that outweighs him by 100 pounds.

There are moments in the past few games i have wished Gentry would let Telfair play longer, especially where Nash has to deal with fast guards like Dragic and Lowrie

In this instance, Scola had lowered his shoulder and was repeatedly pounding Frye in the chest hard trying to back him down when Frye fell. I can see a no-call but certainly not a foul on Frye.

Same here. Nash has lost some serious quickness and it will not be coming back.

Also: "Budden likes this post!"

I'm probably too hard on Gortat. I just hate soft big men. Or, perhaps more precisely, I hate big men it's the ability to be strong but usually opt for being soft. When I look at Channing Frye, he has a naturally tendency toward being a bit soft, but you can tell he focuses on being stronger. It's not easy to go against your natural instinct, and let's face it - there are some strong dudes in this league. But for a guy to have any chance of changing his physicality, he needs to be making a concerted effort each and every time he steps on the court. It takes a huge amount of mental effort and focus, and it's not easy. I dunno if I can even think of a guy who has been able to really do it. But I see nothing in Gortat's play that would lead me to believe that he's making any progress at all.

Gortat has been playing anything but soft in the 3rd quarter.

Suns up 81-69 after the 3rd quarter. :)

Strong quarter from the Suns particularly on the defensive end. :) Gotta keep it up though.

What an inside move to score by Morris.

What a steal by Hill. :)

Hill stole that ball with two hands from a player going full speed. It reminded of a defensive back taking it away from a receiver in football.
