Please get it right Matt was gone the day they hired Whiz...!!! The Kid never had a chance. Whiz always put him in the position to fail. This post should be " FIRE WHIZ ...!!!"

BOBCAT

I'll admit, even though I supported the benching of Matt, I can completely understand how some people didn't. What I absolutely DON'T understand is "FIRE WHIZ!" What universe did you used to watch the Cardinals in before he got here?

Almost all head coaches get fired eventually. Whisenhunt will last a few years given his new contract but his dubious personnel moves will be his undoing. If you can fire the Rat in Denver you sure as hell can fire Whisenhunt. It won't happen this year, but if next year is a mess, the chatter will start up in mass. This is a what have you done for me lately league.

Anyone who thinks benching Anderson is the right move must really want a 3 win season. Sorry, Max Hall will result in a top 5 pick...plain and simple.

yeah, but it seems like it's already started THIS YEAR... which I find ridiculous. If we suck next year, then yeah, start bitching all you want, I'll probably be right next to you. Doing it NOW... coming on the heels of two back to back division titles and suffering the sins of the father (who decided to horde $ this year leaving us with a depleted D and ZERO options at QB, even with Matt here), just makes zero sense whatsoever.

If a team sucks, fans will call for a coach's head. That is as predictable as the sun rising each morning. There are signs that this team sucks. He won't be fired this year. But of they are below .500 this year and next, he will probably be canned. He is no Cowher or Belichik. He will be on the hot seat if he goes below .500 two years in a row given his dubious personnel moves.

we're 1-1 and in a transition year where the FO decides to horde pennies. calling for his head now just looks INCREDIBLY silly to me... and probably anyone outside of this board who watches and knows football.

That is as predictable as the sun rising each morning.

doesn't make it any less silly, coming off back to back playoff appearances with victories in both of those appearances.

There are signs that this team sucks.

no disagreement there.

He won't be fired this year.

obviously... yet people are already starting the campaign to make it happen.

But of they are below .500 this year and next, he will probably be canned.

I'll bet money this isn't true. He gets three years, right or wrong. Unless, we're just ABYSMAL, he'll get 3 more years here to turn it around IMO.

He is no Cowher or Belichik. He will be on the hot seat if he goes below .500 two years in a row given his dubious personnel moves.

duh... any coach who's under .500 for two years is on the hot seat. What I want to know is why Wiz is being criticized for "dubious personnel moves" that seemed to have been dictated by Bidwill's wallet and not Whiz's choices.

They are all obvious blunders but some don't want to admit that Whisenhunt can make a mistake every now and then and that some are more severe than others.

As opposed to those who can't give credit where it's due.

"Fire Whiz" is just crazy talk, sure I believe he picked a lemon in DA. That don't mean nothing compared to how our team has turned it around. We were one amazing catch away from winning the big one.

He has won with Dennis Greens player moves not necessarily by his own moves...!!!

Please give DG his props. Whiz has been living off of Pitts old players and what DG brought in. Remember KW was a DG hire not a Whiz hire.

i guess coaching those guys aren't considered "moves". Give me a break. He won with players who couldn't win jack squat even when handed 6 turnovers and a 20 point lead!

Please give DG his props. Whiz has been living off of Pitts old players and what DG brought in.

I'll give DG props for one GREAT draft. Fitz, Dansby and Dockett. After that, our drafts routinely SUCKED. And regardless... NONE of those players amounted to jack squat before they had a coach who could actually coach them.

Remember KW was a DG hire not a Whiz hire.

and remember that KW looked like a shambling wreck for all of DG's time here and only turned it around once Wiz and his staff came in. But I guess that was just dumb luck on Wiz's part.

Good grief. One rocky start to a season where we lost HUGE contributors to the team and people are ready to not only jump ****, but think fondly of the Titanic. Comical.

Do I think that Wiz is a genius player personnel guy? No. That's not his job. It's Rod Graves and therein lies the problem IMO. That and Bidwill hording his pennies this year.

Who's this Leinart guy you keep mentioning?

He's the guy who was playing QB when Larry Fitzgerald had his career high in receiving yards for a single game with 11 catches for 172 yards.

He's the guy who at least has the POSSIBILITY to be good in this league unlike the lemon DA who our coach seems to think gives us a chance to win....geesh.

Very impossible when your not even given the opportunity

Right, coz ML was never given the opportunity here.

What in the world is happening here? Who took the once great posters of this board and turned them into this?

Am I being Punked? seriously, am I? Where is Aston?

It's amazing...people are more Pro-Leinart than Pro-Cardinal.

You, Nashman, and azsouthendzone should get a Leinart Houston jersey and root for the new Texan clipboard holder.

Sorry but Leinart has no possibility to be good in this league and neither does DA. Going into the 5th season, All Leinart showed was that he was going to be the Cardinal version of Brady Quinn. :biglaugh:

Leinart doesn't have the physical tools nor the mentality to be a good QB.

Completely possible that he doesn't have the intestinal/mental fortitude for the NFL, but he most certainly has all of the physical tools.

Is this what this ridiculousness is all about ?

45 pages, 13 threads, and a box of tissues worth of "I told you not to get rid of Leinart ?"

Wow. I have had my share of breakdowns but.....wow.

Bingo...it's just a continuation of the last 2 years with Warner.

Last year we started 1-2 and the same people were calling for Whis and Warners head. The same people were crying about Leinart not getting his chance.

Where is Tango when you need a proper goodbye letter to Leinart?

Who ?

Who is this person that puts Whiz as god ?

Seriously man. Seriously.

What is the problem ? Write it out in a list, make a post, with solutions. You think Whiz sucks ? Fine. Great. Give the reasons.

Whiz has made mistakes, heck he even admits to them sometimes. I don't agree with him about Lyle Sendlien, or Deuce Lutui, or Paris Lenon, or a lot of things here and there.

But this ultra aggressive "rain on the parade of all those who are the slightest bit OK with any part of the Cardinals situation" is just frickin' abrasive.

how does a guy who's not very durable, doesn't have good quickness and has a mediocre at best arm have all of the physical tools?

azsouthendzone you say inregards to the names you mentioned: they're all better options. What part of they all are under contract in another league don't you understand? Hell Drew Breese would be a better option too but we can't get him out of his contract either can we?
http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/showthread.php?p=2311140#post2311140

Guess what all of them have in their contract? Can you say NFL Escape Clause? As if Garcia is tied to his $500 a week contract in the UFL.
