Well I'm not sure how long player is out for but getting a G/F would be easy to sign a player for cheap (not like he's going to play)... I wouldn't mind keeping core for year but Trades are fun

Pacers:
Jake Voskuhl
Zarko Cabarkapa
Casey Jacobsen
Maciej Lampe

Suns:
Kwame Brown
Pacers Draft Pick

Wizards:
Scot Pollard
Bulls Draft Pick
3 Million Cash (Pacers)

Roster:
Stoudemire F/C
Marion F
Richardson G/F
Johnson G/F
Nash PG

Bench:
K Brown F/C (he is currently hurt)
Barbosa G
Hunter C
Vroman F/C
Outlaw F/C
Tabuse PG
G/F...?????

Future:
Pacers Pick
Milos Vujanic

We won't even have a full roster after that mess. :D

I'd rather keep Macej and Casey than trade for an injured Brown.

LOL not like we play roster :D

Not like it would happen but Suns would still keep 1st Rounder, just not quite as high but getting a decent F/C (that I like but not sure if he'd play ;) )... Jacobsen is most likely gone, Voskuhl and Lampe don't play - I like Lampe but obviously coach doesn't... not sure how D feels about Kwame Brown though, and Cabarkapa will only come off IL if a player gets hurt.

I'm not sure how long Kwame Brown is out though? Maciej Lampe will leave after next year, unless we suddenly play him a lot of minutes next year - with adding possible Bulls Draft, I doubt Lampe gets any minutes though...

The Wizards trade Kwame Brown for a protected pick, cash, and Scot Pollard?? Am I missing something? There is absolutely no chance that the Wizards would consider that for an instant.

Lampe will only be a RFA so how could he leave? Well I guess someone could sign him to a big contract, but I don't think that's going to happen.

I agree. At least send the IND's pick to WAS.

Actually, I am almost positive there is a TO on his contract for the third year. The Suns should have the chance to keep him for cheap next season, which I assume they will.

Yeah, he has one additional year after this year. BbaLL_31 said he will leave after next year. My point was that even then he will still be a RFA.

Trade Proposal's can be tweaked, Suns would give up a lot though if Pacers Pick went to Wizards (would Pacers Pick switched for the 3 Million cash to Suns be fair?). That trade will then equal...

Bulls Draft Pick
Maciej Lampe
Jake Voskuhl
Casey Jacobsen
Zarko Cabarkapa

for

Kwame Brown
(possibly 3 million cash?)

The best prospects I've seen yet for Bulls Draft Pick, have been PG/SG/SF - tomorrow I believe Texas plays though (LaMarcus Aldridge) I'm really not even sure how he's going to look though...

I get confused by some of the logic underlying various trade proposals. It would be helpful to clarify certain assumptions:

1. Is this deal going to give the Suns a shot at winning it all this year?

2. How does this guy fit into the Sun's scheme?

3. If the deal is based on building for the future, is the person being acquired likely to be vastly better in the next two years than the people being traded?

4. Is the new person likely to be easier or harder to re-sign next when he becomes a free agent?

5. Why does the other team want to trade him?

Personally, I don't think any deal is likely until at least January. Even teams that are completely tanking aren't likely to be willing to trade useful players for draft picks until they are sure the season is a lost cause (such as what the Suns did a year ago.)

maybe i am missing something but why would the suns even want kwame brown? brown may end up being the the single worst #1 overall pick in nba history.

I hate bringing up trade scenarios, especially when I think things are going good.

But, there's 1 big man out there who I think would be great for Amare to have around. And, maybe keep him grounded and contribute at the same time.

His name...

ANTONIO DAVIS

I have no idea what his salary is (probably very cap heavy). But, having a reliable, ol' big man by Amare's side when things are getting chippy down the stretch could pay big dividends for this team.

Let me know if this could work out under any circumstances regarding present/future cap ramifications.

Here is the best site for salaries.

Davis is 11.7Million this year and 13.9Million next year.
No thanks.

Kwame Brown would be a terrific fit for the Suns.

7' , strong as an ox, strong man defender, can run the floor, athletic, can knock down the occasional jumpshot.

Brown is definately not going to end up the worst #1 pick in NBA history. That's a joke. He is still a young pup and just because he didn't devellop as fast as Amare (nobody does) that doesn't make him a bust.

I don't see Washington trading him for what we would offer unfortunately.

I'll bring up this name again... Stromile Swift! The Suns need to make a run at him and hope he'd sign for the full MLE with a contender.

I agree that Swift could be a good fit, but I also think he'll get more than the MLE from someone. He has shown a lot more than Okur, in my opinion, and look what Okur got.

Stromile Swift was my #1 option but he can't be traded... I was going to ask Joe Mama in PM if he thought he was a good choice for Mid-Level and how he felt about Hakim Warrick (in PM before I lost all respect on board LOL)... let me go try to answer George O'Brien's questions if I can...

I don't like to sign on this board early, Suns have started to win when I sign on late and plus there is much more to do early, than late night for me... so if Suns only win by 3 or 4 points - I apologize...

1. Suns only have Spurs to beat, to go to NBA Finals and adding another F/C (I'll let slinslin's description stand for now) would help - Suns should go 78-4 ;) but Spurs with Tim Duncan (I figured lets throw 2 quality bigs, 3 counting Steven Hunter at them)...

2. Kwame Brown can shoot, drive, post, run court but can defend both F/C - seems like a fit for skillball...

3. I do believe most have lost confidence if Voskuhl, Jacobsen will be gone, Lampe could leave (can Suns offer as much as they'd like or is it Mid-Level? Lampe will probably get a decent contract, and Cabarkapa - no comment...

4. Do Fans ever know this question? I would think he'd like to be on a Title Contender...

5. Wizards have Jamison and Jeffries :D at PF and could stick with Haywood, Etan Thomas, and John Ramos at Center... and add Pollard, 2 Draft Picks...

LOL this was probably a weak attempt but I tried...
