    Agreed. Russell is a decent player who worked hard, but he was a big part of why the run D sucked. Rarely did the guy command a double team, let alone a triple. The Cards needed to upgrade this postion and they did.

    I thought Cutler was supposed to be more of a scrawny Plummer type player. The kid is big and he has an even bigger arm. I'm impressed with what I've seen of him at the combine. He looks to be a legit top 10 pick.

    The reason Warner did so well last season was he had Fitz and Boldin. Those two made McCown look pretty good too. All of the articles that I'm reading suggest that Warner could do no wrong last year just because he threw for all those 300 yard games. He made his fair share of mistakes...

    The Cards would be nuts to pay Warner 6-7 mil per year. I wouldn't pay him anymore than 5 mil a year for 3 years. You could get McCown for much less than either of those figures. He was throwing for 300 yards a game to these WR's too. Plus he's younger and more durable.

    I hope they do bring Pace back but I hear they like the way Antonio Smith is developing. Keep in mind that they put Pace on the non-football injury list and didn't pay him after he got hurt. The last guy they did that to was cast away.
