I wasn‘t waiting but sure nice to come back and finding gloating ASCII penis imagines in my inbox from the guy who was trying to get me banned.

I could say a whole lot more about the blatant lies of certain people.

Welcome back Slin, what are your thoughts on Ayton, and who do you like with the rest of the draft?

I think Ayton is an absolute no-brainer pick.

I like a bunch of players in this draft. I like Jackson, Bagley too. Would love to have either instead of Chriss and Bender.

I think Doncic is closer to Joe Johnson, Hedo Turkoglu and wouldn‘t draft him higher than 4th or so.

I don‘t really like Bamba. I don‘t buy all the talk about how smart he is because he can apply 5th grade geometry terminology. He is well-spoken but I have this feeling that he is just book-smart but not actually smart. I am not drafting a skinny center with zero offensive skills high, sorry.

I could talk myself into Porter despite the injuries.

SGA doesn‘t pique my interest at all, he is long but that is about it. Nothing to be excited about but nothing to be super critical about besides being skinny..

Don‘t like Sexton.

I like Young, both Bridges, Walker, Knox and Zhaire have a chance to develop. Like Okobo, Duval, Alkins, Grayson Allen, DiVincenzo, Melton.

So if we stay at 16 and things fall according to most mocks you like Zhaire there?

I would like to move up even if it is just 1 or 2 spots to get Bridges or Walker. I like Zhaire but I am not super confident that he develops. Not enough intel how good he looks in workouts.

lol.... you come back literally the day your ban ended, but you weren't waiting? Come on dude... it's okay to admit an addiction. We ALL have it.

All that said, good to see you back!

I dont know when my ban ended. I was reading once in a while to see if people have finally seen the light on Bender.

You mentioned Grayson Allen. We don't usually do that here. I have a hunch he is going to have a long annoying NBA career.

You’ve generally not liked Euro players so when someone asked about a month ago wondering who you would’ve liked in the draft, I guessed that you wouldn’t be a fan of his lol.

How did JJJ, a player who did little as a Frosh, become such a hot commodity?

A lot of reasons. His game is so well rounded that I believe the only thing stopping him was his fouling rate (high) which probably limited his minutes. If somehow he got his fouls under control he could be the best player in this draft...or top three best. Also his length is very good...long arms.

JJJ needs to get alot stronger. I don't think he's going to be good right away.

And I was only disagreeing with your comment that there were concerns about "Ayton... especially his motor".

Complaints about his effort were common prior to this season. But I thought it was clear to everyone that watched Arizona play this season that his motor was always running. He has flaws and maybe Doncic will be the better pro but I simply don't know how anyone can still knock Ayton's effort.

"Questionable motor" is lazy analysis. That was the knock on him coming out of high school. What was discovered was that he was bored because he was so dominant. When he's challenged, the dude responds. He's outplayed Bamba and Bagley when they went against each other in the AAU circuit.

His motor is fine. If anything, I want to see him develop leadership skills as he grows and matures.

I agree that there are things to like, but it is asinine IMO that there are people that actually think he should be considered for the number one pick.

He "should" be a good defender at the NBA level and was a good shooter in college, but his offensive arsenal is extremely lacking. He is also not as big or as athletic as Ayton.

That is the guy I want at 31 if we keep the pick
He is the Bruce Bowen/Danny Ainge of this draft. People are going to hate him throughout the league, but whoever gets him will be glad he is on their team. \

Long annoying career.

I dislike Allen but he would add some nastiness to the Suns which they need.

I wouldn't mind adding some toughness but I don't consider "uncontrolled rage" to be toughness or even nastiness.

Like I said, I am not a fan. Beverley is another type player that would provide some toughness to the Suns but he has only one year left on his contract. Also the Clippers would likely want too much for him.

It would be weird if the Suns became the bad boys of the NBA in their purple and orange uniforms.

It's interesting in their mock, Shai goes before Young. This would be a surprise.
I’m not surprised, Shai has way better physical porential than Sexton and Young: taller, longer span, lower fat, plus super hardworking

At least way better chance to be 3D

Agree. It’s a possibly valid criticism but more of a concern when it’s voiced by teams after their own interviews and workouts, rather than by writers. If the Suns take Ayton we’ll have to trust that they saw the right motivation. It would be the worst to pass on Ayton because of an intangible and then watch him destroy because he actually does play hard when challenged.

The good thing about the Suns as a landing spot is that Ayton isn’t the first star drafted in the rebuild - Booker was. And Booker is already tired of missing the playoffs.

The gold jersey is the award the team gives for hustle and hard work during practice. It’s often a way to reward those lesser players who get by on sheer determination. Ayton got 9 of 11 Miller awarded at UOFA this year. The kid does not have a motor issue.

I agree. Also got a chance to see him play in college and I was duly impressed about his upside as he can play both guard positions. Have to like his length and work ethic. I like Shai after Young but it is close.
