Things have changed.
Not sure if I’m more disappointed that KK said what he said in October about Murray, or how our fans have seemingly reacted to an obvious hype video.
Maybe he was/is trying to drive up the value of the #1 pick.

Were you equally unimpressed with Mayfield Zeno?
Murray! Murray! MURRAY! MURRAY!

Link??Rumors that Browns vs Cards is going to be opening Monday night game. Watch the possible Murray vs Baker posts start popping up like crazy if that happens
Thx. Finally we get a MNF game.
Is he eligible to attend the Combine? Despite its limitations, when it comes to measurements and workout numbers, Combine numbers are pretty much The Word.Mayfield isn`t 5`9 Mayfield is 6`1.Throwing lanes, seeing over the oline ,smaller frame and standing up to NFL punishment.Using your line of thought then why doesn`t every QB who has good stats in college turn out successful in the NFL?
Being successful against non defensive big 12 teams isn`t the NFL is it? Murray won`t be playing against college quality defenses in the NFL either.
Murray! Murray! MURRAY! MURRAY!

And what’s the success rate of Heisman winning QBs in modern football? Fairly poor by percentage so I think you’re making a terrible argument and perhaps your viewpoint above comes across as dangerously uninformed. Just sayin’.Wow. He's the Heisman freaking trophy winner man. That award goes to the best college football player in the nation. I'll cut you some slack because you probably don't watch a lot of american college football, but your view point above comes across as dangerously uninformed.
See, that's the reason I feel like I need to defend Murray, just like I had to defend Mayfield last year. You're not giving him a fair shake. You're not giving credit, where credit is obviously due.

Going back to 1984, heisman QBs:
Marriotta - jury’s out but not great
Winston - jury’s out but not great
Manziel - bust
RGIII - bust
Newton - winner
Bradford - mediocre
Tebow - bust
Troy Smith - bust
Leinart- bust
Jason white - bust
Palmer - winner
Eric crouch - bust
Chris weinke - bust
Danny wuerffel - bust
Charlie ward - NA
Gino toretta - bust
Ty detmer - bust
Andre Ware - bust
Vinny testaverde - very definition of mediocre
Doug Flutie - mediocre to incomplete
I cringe when I say that I actually think this isn’t crazy.I'm just going to say it..... If Kyler does what I think he will do at the combine, he will quickly become the #1 QB prospect in this draft and the buzz at the top of the draft will grow to a roar.
I bet he runs a 4.3 to 4.4 with some insanely timed short shuttles and shiftiness drills. If he also throws with high end velocity, we may be in for a ton of soul-searching about what we want our offense to look like in 2019. And if we are willing to go non-conventional in our Head Coaching hire..... Why would we be so adamant to be so conventional in our #1 QB?
I will reserve judgement.... But if we can get a top 20 pick for Rosen, and an extra year of rookie contract scale, and a better fit for our offense at QB all at the same time. I would do it and not even blink.
If this was last year it’s a no brained. But with the selection of Rosen the course has been set. We will follow this course with Rosen at the helm . If he is a failure, then next year at this time we will be giving up a Kong’s random for a qb in the draft OR go back to retreads.I cringe when I say that I actually think this isn’t crazy.
Murray! Murray! MURRAY! MURRAY!

Is this a home game? I don't think theyve determined home/away yet.I heard from a friend of mine in Cleveland that it appears it'll be the Browns vs Cardinals in that opener. I like Mayfield, but K2 will tell a different story in regards to that supposed scholarship snub. There's enough tape out there on Baker, so the Cardinals should be at least somewhat prepared. Conversely, that would be an ideal opportunity for K2 to put his offense on display on prime time MNF. The crowd will be pumped & electric. Jones/Bosa team up for 7 sacks & the new air raid offense puts up 40 on the Browns. Would put AZ Cardinal football right back on the map!!!
That would be 9:30 CT in Oklahoma. Normally that means game ends around 1am or later. Texas Tech and Oklahoma State games go 4 hrs long more than you think. Wonder if KK will run the same offense where this will probably hack the NFL off if the Cardinals were the 1st game of a doubleheader on CBS or FOX? If you have the Ticket no big deal but everyone on normal tv would be pissed if waiting on 2nd game. Defenses figure it out, maybe not so muchI wouldn't get too excited. If that MNF game actually happens..... It will be the 10:30pm est kickoff and we will get the crappy 2nd announcing team from ESPN. No one east of the Mississippi will be watching the 2nd half unless they are die hard fans.
Nothing is worse that waiting the ENTIRE OPENING WEEKEND for the last game of the week. It absolutely sucks!
And god help us if Boomer is the lead announcer.
