He said “potential” and even italicized it. But acknowledging that doesn’t fit your narrative, does it? And if his skills translate he very well could be generational. Mock away, but if it comes to pass you’re the one looking like an ass l.

Generational? I seriously doubt it.i still say he will have a Flutie like. career at best.My narrative is that I don`t want the Cards to screw up and draft him. That`s my narrative.

He’s not even clearly committed to football. Hard pass at any slot in round 1 much less the top pick.

This times 10, because he's still citing baseball as a choice and avoids answering which sport and you cannot play both being a quarterback with so much you are being responsible for... this guy has more red flags than a Chinese military parade

4300 passing
40 some tds passing
Highest rating ever at almost 200
1000 yds rushing
70% comp percentage
Heisman winner
Is 2 inches shorter than most would like.
Not the best at circling a question he obviously can’t answer right now otherwise it could cost him millions of dollars.

Once the combine and pro days happen...... the world will be clamoring for this kid. Top 5 for sure IMO.

Report: NFL sources concerned about Kyler Murray’s father
February 4, 2019
by Grey Papke

https://larrybrownsports.com/football/nfl-sources-concerned-kyler-murray-father/483472

Bleacher Report draft expert Matt Miller told the Stick to Football podcast that some NFL insiders have concerns about Murray’s father, with one going as far as to compare him to LaVar Ball.

“He’s still going in the first [round], but he needs to get a f–king agent and do it the right way,” one source told Miller. A second referred to Murray’s father as “LaVar Ball all over again” and suggested that Murray’s public indecision over his future was a ploy to get more money out of the Oakland Athletics.

It’s a window into the perception of Murray within the league. There’s a general consensus that he’ll be a first-round pick, but his height, his family, and some bad looks publicly ensure that there are going to be questions about him if he does indeed try to pursue a football career.

Murray's lack of determination which career to pursue is much worse than any concerns about size, arm or durability. Compare this to Mahomes, who is quite similar in terms of being great in two sports and having doubters that his college success can translate to the NFL. But Mahomes always made it clear, right after announcing he's entering the draft, that his love and focus is to the game of football.

On this fact alone, Murray isn't a 1st round pick in my book. 1st round talent? No doubt. My best guess is the Patriots will draft him and he will take over from Brady in two years, after already being used in a similar way the Ravens used Lamar Jackson while Flacco was still their starter.

My dream scenario is that the Raiders fall in love with him and that the Cardinals can effectively work the Raiders for #4, #22, #35 for the #1 pick.

Draft Josh Allen, Ed Oliver, or trade down again (Redskins? Broncos?)

If they move down again, add more 2nd and 3rd rounders, if not a future 1st and a 2nd this year.

Put down the bong... lol. He has better odds of going in the second round than he does in the top 10, let alone the top 5. The first QB drafted isn't likely to go in the top 5 and and he's probably going not going to even be the second QB drafted.

Just look at the last few drafts. People are nuts for QBs and he is the 1st or 2nd best on the board. With better stats than Baker at the same point.

Just wait for the pro day. This argument is not crazy.

I'm in your boat as it pertains to Murray. Show me a college QB who can complete 70% of his passes in a big chunk offense & I don't give a rat's a$$ how tall he is or isn't. Conversely, I have no interest in a college QB that completes under 60%. I could be wrong, we all are at times, but Murray will make people regret passing on him.

Yea him not being able to make a decision and commit makes it crazy. The kid isn’t even a first rounder with his lack of commitment AFAIC...

Disagree.I think Murray will make the team that drafts him regret it.Blanket statement about not wanting a college QB completing under 60%.I would say I would have4 to look at the offense said QB was using, his pass attempts ,etc.

If an Okie /Riley QB does not complete 70 % he is 2nd string carrying a clipboard.

I legitimately might not watch the team this year if we execute two trade downs in the first round. I'd fly down to Phoenix and picket Cardinals HQ.

So you would have passed on Bret Favre in favour of Murray?

Carr's $20m 2019 salary is guaranteed as of today

If they move up it will be for Bosa - imo.

I think they do exactly what they did when they got Mack.

1. Bosa goes to us at #1
2. Niners trade out to a team in need of a QB. Guessing Denver. Shanahan ties everywhere here and Elway pays a kings ransom.
3. Raiders take Allen
4. Jets trade out for Qb#2. Probably to giants or jags.

Pretty sure if you take the same stance you’re taking in height (how many short QBs succeed in the nfl) when looking at sub-60% completion percentage in college QBs you’ll come away with similar lack of success. So why consider them differently if the basis for your argument is current fact not translating at the next level?

Name me ten great QBs in the modern era that fall into that category. Cherry picking a single one is a lame argument and you know it. Cmon. Be better than that.

And guess what? The entire nfl passed on Favre so you’d be in good company if you did pass on the lone. outlier.

Foles has turned down his Philly option and will be a FA.

Flacco is out there too.

They could be in play for JAGs, Denver, Miami

Giants are committed to Eli for another season, so I'd imagine they stay put a select the highest rated QB on their board.

I don't see a "hot" run on QBs in this draft.
