Niners are tough, they showed that last season. The Rams skinned the Redskins so they have like 3 extra 1st round draft picks and will be a force in the future. Not to forget a proven coaching staff and bounty program. Jeff Fisher played against Peyton many times, maybe Peyton is scared of Jeff Fisher and that he might be expoited? Seahawks have potential and plenty of cap space but I'm not a fan of Pete, unless Leinart, Deuce signs for him. Then it will be USC northwest. The NFC west is coming and will be the tough division. Last season we showed signs of owning the league and this season will be even better.

Two extra first round picks!

Unfortunately for houston, and I may be wrong, but they may have lost out on a window of opportunity last season with the AFC being weakened. if peyton goes to tennessee(and some of the other teams improve) that could factor in on their succcess coming off of a breakout season.

Too quiet. I think the front office just gave up and let Peyton make his decision.

Or they know something noone else does and are playing this tight. The Cards have been very aggressive at the start of FA. When was the last time you have seen that? To me that is very telling. Just because the Cardinals are quiet unlike DEN, TEN and MIA doesn't mean they're out of it. Quite the contrary I think they are in this more than people think.

Not a matter of giving up - the process, as the Cardinals saw it, involved putting their best foot forward, giving their best shot and letting the process sort itself out.

Makes sense, but the danger is that - although Peyton may have signaled that he wanted things to be low-key with no surprises, part of him may have secretly hoped that some team would do something dramatic and knock his socks off.

Regarding M. Beisner, NFL Net might as well give her the past 2 days off and, each half-hour, just posted her picture with an "I've Got Nothing New" overlay.

There is a belief out there that because of Whiz and Peyton's relationship, Manning would have given the Cards a courtesy phone call to let them know they were out. According to Wolf, that call hasn't happened. The Cards are still feeling good about their chances.

Add it to the rest of the crap floating around out there.

Manning hasn't exactly been ******* for the cameras during his tour, so I would tend to doubt that he wants anything other than a low-key approach.

Crisper---I think Manning is enamored with the idea of throwing to Fitz and especially with Wayne and Garcon going elsewhere, this works very much in the Cardinals' favor.

Seriously. With every move, he solidifies the perception that he is the anti-Favre.

Something interesting about Wolfley. My mom works for him at his restaurant. Typically, he is a jovial, outspoken man who usually does not filter his information about the Cardinals and his knowledge of the team operations.

I talked with my mom over the weekend and she said he's been eerily quiet lately and not discussing anything related to the Cardinals and deflecting all questions he's being asked about this situation.

As each hour goes by, I am less and less confident we will get him. In fact, I am pretty much sure we will not.

He might have been told to keep his mouth shut or he would lose his job.

As each hour goes by I more and more just want something to happen. The bar is low for me, sign the emergency punter of a CFL team, just do something concrete for us to talk about!

I'm with ya, we definitely need a punter.

The meme I am hearing on the radio is that Manning is close to signing with Denver because they have a great organization and ownership. The flip side implication is that the Cards have a cheap owner not willing to spend to win a championship. Add that to the crap that is floating around out there.

If PM doesn't sign with AZ, I really hope it's not with Denver, so Vic Lombardo '95%' can have his humble pie...

If we are not in the running then Manning should give a courtesy call. I mean he declined Miami why not us? Atleast we Cards fans can look forward to the draft like we always do every year. If he does sign for someone else and didn't give us a courtesy call then we should be pissed.
