You do realize the Niners gave up 3 picks to move up and get Kaepernick. So I guess that is how you would get one of them.

Cincy was not trading the right to draft Dalton.
Seattle may be 8-4 or 9-3, if they had a better QB than Wilson. But he's been okay and isn't totally killing them. I still don't see him as a long term solution. Of course, the Cards may have that record if Kolb didn't get hurt too.

Therein lies what's driving me nuts -

Dalton, Kaepernick and Wilson were not considered blue chip prospects, yet Cincy, SF and Seattle had key decision-makers in their FO's who "saw something" and convinced their teams to target these guys and make whatever moves had to be made to land them.

Then there are the Cardinals. Either their QB evaluation processes are screwed up, they don't know how to develop the guys we get...or all of the above.

Is it Wiz? Is it Graves? Is it Keim? Is it Miller? Could it be Michael B? Clearly, someone is advocating for the wrong dudes.

Valid points as to whether they are long term answers. All I am saying is the competition was able to come up with ways to select QB's that can play.

We could have traded up in front of Cincy but I doubt we were looking at Dalton at all.

I saw Skelton miss the same passes against Atlanta. I know Skelton sucks because he has had three years to show he doesn't.

I haven't seen enough to know if Lindley can get better or not. I can't blame the staff for making the smart coaching decision to see if he has a young QB who can improve even though it may be an unpopular decision with the fans.

After 10 minutes of gametime against NY, it was clear that Skelton was more capable than Lindley of making the plays necessary to win the game.

The main point is to save Hortons job, Whiz is far more replaceable than Horton right now. If Whiz is fired, then Horton will almost undoubtebly take his place there for locking up Horton here. If Cards dont get rid of Whiz, then Horton will be gone either this offseason or the next...

If you have six consecutive girlfriends cheat on you, you can continue to blame your girlfriends, but at some point you have to look in the mirror.

Firing Whis accomplishes nothing if we do it at the end of the year. Transitioning this roster makes no sense; so many players are locked into long-term deals, we'd have to take two steps back to take one step forward.

By the way, this is the same case for those of you who want to see two rookie lineman starting again next year. No matter how highly they're drafted, they're not going to be as good right away as the veterans we have. So I hope you're willing to sacrifice 2013 on the altar of hoping that you can draft 2 offensive linemen and have them both work out.
