    Edwin Jackson throws ugly No-No

Wow, just heard about this on the radio. I am so proud of EJ & the rest of the 'Backs. I remember tuning into RJ's perfect game against Atlanta as I was getting home from work, so not too many people were aware of that game, either. So it took 149 pitches to accomplish this feat. Yeah, so...

Gameday: Cards @ Patriots on NFL Network

Not only would I like to see Edge play some more in the preseason, I'd like him to take some handoffs from Leinart. While it may not seem like a big deal, he may have to make adjustments grabbing the ball from a left handed QB vs. a RH QB (Warner, Manning). This could be especially important...

Gameday: Cards @ Patriots on NFL Network

How many times is Sterling Sharpe going to say "decisive" when describing the quarterback? Anyways, I'm curious to see if Navarre will get some snaps in the 4th qtr.

Even their fans are a bit depressing.

So how does he spend the other 2/3 of his income? By going to Dodger games and Disneyland? Don't know if this is supposed to be a feel-good story, but I don't think the rest of homeless America would find this article amusing.

Suns vs Lakers Saturday May 6, 2006 game thread

"Everybody will say what a great series it was......" I got a kick out of Dan Majerle recreating Paul Westphal's famous press conference from 1993. Now, if we could just recreate a run to the Finals like in those playoffs...

Suns vs Lakers Saturday May 6, 2006 game thread

I just heard that in addition to Suns Jerseys, the Team Shop will carry replicas of Robert Sarver's orange shirt. Just kidding.

Suns vs Lakers Saturday May 6, 2006 game thread

I think we can let the starters sit after a couple of minutes into the 4th. I feel confident with a 25 point lead against the Lakers. I might feel differently if we were playing the Spurs. Also, it would give an opportunity to guys like Eddie House to get their stroke and confidence back.

Suns vs Lakers Saturday May 6, 2006 game thread

I'd like the lead to remain at least 20 by the start of the 4th qtr, so we can give some rest to our starters. That would be beneficial, considering the quick turnaround into the Clippers series.

Looks like Kobe might take matters into his own hands. I don't think I'll mind, as he already has 23 points but the Lakers are down 15.

Suns vs Lakers Saturday May 6, 2006 game thread

As long as we're still up by double digits at halftime, we'll be fine. If the lead is under 10, the Lakers will have some momentum going into the 2nd half.

Barkley: Most Overrated NBA Player Ever

I remember many great Barkley moments, during his tenure in Phoenix. Among them: The series ending 20 footer over Robinson (I still have the McDonald's cup!). His 44/24 WCF game 7 performance against Seattle. Recording a triple double in the 93 Finals. 56 against Sprewell & Webber's...

For you old schoolers, the perfect center for D'Antoni!

Can't forget about Rich Kelley and Rick Robey... Bring back either of those two for some low post dominance. Just kidding.

Western Conference Semifinals Game 6- Suns @ Mavericks Game Thread

I believe the Mavs got caught on their heels, as the Suns did not call timeout and just ran the play. We just caught them by surprise.

Memo to Dan Le Batard... Eat ****

Hey, don't be so harsh on Le Bas Tard, guys. He makes a good point for O'Neal. Didn't Shaq put up some MVP numbers to win games 3 & 4 for the Heat against the Wizards? If it weren't for his heroics, Miami might be locked up in a 7 game series war. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go praise...

Western Conference Semifinals Game 6- Suns @ Mavericks Game Thread

This season has some eerie similarities to the 92-93 season. Here's what I've noticed so far: 62 wins, best in the league (as in 93). The NBA's MVP (Barkley). An injury to a key player in the playoffs (Ceballos). A dramatic Semifinals game 6 win on the road in Texas (Barkley's shot over...

    Al McCoy losing it...?

I agree Al has been in a decline the past few years. His mistakes tend to confuse the listener, especially during a crucial part of the game. However, his "Shazam"s and "Wham Bam Slam"s are still enough to keep me entertained. On a related note, Vinnie del Negro's color work could stand some...

    Hunter's flop

I agree. That play reminded me of Jordan's game 6 push off of Bryon Russell, although on a much smaller scale.

Western Conference Semifinals Game 3- Suns @ Mavericks Game Thread

Any questions about Nash getting the MVP? I chuckle at the national radio talk show hosts that make arguments for Shaq deserving the award. Nash leads us with one of our top players injured to regain home court while a fat, out of shape Diesel watches his team win without him. Not that Shaq has...

hi guys....hope you don't mind me crashing this thread. anyone notice the suns seem stagnant when running the halfcourt offense? i notice this particularly with marion, who's standing around the perimeter watching nash. their d has picked up this quarter (3rd), though, and barbosa hasn't...

    Where was Kevin Johnson?

Well, everyone has their addictions. KJ's happened to be "Whiskey". Anyways, KJ and Barkley weren't exactly the best of friends. No surprise Kevin was a no-show.

    Re-sign McDyess...

elindholm, I humbly retract my "showcasing" statement. Perhaps "writing off the season" would be more appropriate. Jahidi White starting at center tonight would have had little change on the final score. sly fly, Assuming Mcdyess could stay healthy for the rest of his Suns career...
