    Camby won DPOY award

Marion didn't finish in the top 3. He'll be devastated.

I'm so sick of hearing about the Suns' minutes

Did anyone hear Walton say before one of the OT periods that the Mavericks have an advantage because they are "deeper" and their guys have gotten more rest. It's ridiculous. The following are the top 3 in minutes played for each team: Nash - 48 Bell - 53 Marion - 47 Terry - 54 Nowitzki -...

Stern taking the fun out of game

Stern is a fantastic commish. Everyone makes mistakes and clearly this is one of them. He has admitted that it is a mistake, which is admirable, and I believe he will do the right thing. Stern is decisive, well spoken, humorous, and a leader. He'd make a great politician. Did anyone see...

    Penny update

I believe it was "Heaven Cent" - which is even funnier on many levels. I always liked Penny as a player, but it was hard to see an athlete who had obvious limitations but didn't realize them. He never embraced the fact that he could fill a role and still be an important contributor.

    Antrel Rolle

Why is Rolle on the "hands" team for kickoff return? He has dropped so many interceptions this year!

Jon Gruden a good fit here .. ???

I wouldn't mind giving up a draft pick for Chucky. Not a 1st or 2nd, but maybe something or two after that. Sure this team has needs, as EVERY team does, but they also have money to fill needs. I hate when the teams feels like they've solved needs through the draft. This would incent them to...

    2006 Cardinals: Game 10 (ARI 17 DET 10) Analysis

Good call. The play where Cambell flashed through his zone for the deep completion was a huge mental error. That was the play where Rolle blitzed off the corner and whiffed on the sack. It seems like our DB's do that a lot.

    Defensive Personnel Question

They'll usually pull a LB or a DT, depending in the front. Francisco is the nickle back. I noticed that they walked Francisco up to the line a few times, as if he were going to play man, then he dropped in zone. I can't imagine that they would have him cover a receiver one on one in a man...

    2006 Cardinals: Game 10 (ARI 17 DET 10) Analysis

Yeah, an energized Dansby make a world of difference for this team...too bad Orlando Huff is so poor on the other side. Week in and week out I can't believe that Huff is still starting. He is an obvious weak link to this defense. If there isn't anyone on the roster currently that is a better...

Uh oh Pasch just broke the "Cardinal rule"

Dave Pasch is one of the most talented professionals involved with this organization. He is very good at what he does, and I am glad that he is starting to get recognition for it (lots of ESPN work - football and basketball). He is able to make these kinds of comments because he A: is correct...

    Reggie Wells on Sirius

That's not quite true Russ. Leonard Davis got to the meeting too early. He left after a few minutes because no one was there. They had to reschedule. Once the meeting finally got going, Reggie Wells tripped on the cord to the projector. It smashed to the floor and the couldn't watch film. Also...

    WTF was Ross thinking?????

It was clear that it was Edge's fault. When the line shift one way, the back usually has the backside contain on the end (on a 3 step drop). Edge went left and ended up blocking someone over there.

    Larry Johnson's 75-yard catch

I just reviewed the first Lienart touchdown. There is nothing CLOSE to holding on that play. I'm not saying that the Cards didn't get away with some kind of holding during the game, but this is a bad example.

5 things I would do with Matt Leinart as the starter.

I couldn't agree more about the fade routes. I would throw 3-5 balls a game that Fitz or Boldin could go up and get. Those passes, when properly underthrown, are extremely difficult to defend. I think it is hilarious that people are so scared to start a guy who is widely considered one of the...

Mort Just Said Leinart to Start!

Why is the problem always the o-line? Warner was sacked once and Edge ran for almost 4 yards a carry, and the problem is still the oline? The oline looked fine yesterday. Warner didn't. He made bad decisions (there were a few more that were close to being picked), he doesn't hold onto the ball...

    Monster ST hit?

It was Francisco. Also, on the last three plays of the game Francisco had a tackle and he broke up the two passes in the end zone. He almost picked off the last pass. What I was particularly impressed with was on the next to last play how he knocked down the pass while not bumping the...

    Cardinals Run The Ball!

I remember thinking the same thing. After a certain point it seemed like they were able to run the ball semi-effectively. A number of good runs were negated by penalties that were unimportant to the succes of the play. Better discipline mentally would have lead to us singing the praises of a 100...

    Monday Night Announcers...

I can't disagree about the first team, but I've completely enjoyed Vermeil and Jaws. They actually make intelligent football comments instead of "dumbed down" generalized statements. They have high football IQ's and are able to communicate it. I like the 2nd team.

    About the Defense

Francisco will be a starting FS in this league. He has very good range, is a good sure tackler, and he plays with that intensity that will make him feared. Did anyone see him hit the wedge on that kickoff? He absolutely lit up one of their backup lineman, then jumped up and tried to catch...

    RB and Shelton Thoughts

Hopefully Shelton is motivated as we speak. If he wasn't traded or cut, and he came into camp in tip top shape, there's no way Green wouldn't find a place for him to start. He's too good. My worry is that he thinks of himself as a LT only. Hopefully the prestige that comes from playing the...

Is there any talk about Renaldo Hill signing back up with the Cards?

The Cards are calling his bluff in an effort to drive his price down. Once he realizes that he can't get long term big money I think he'll end up resigning a 1 or 2 year deal and try to test the market againin a year or two. Another productive season or two will raise his value immensely.

    Went from 1060 to 860

Do you hear the sound of the hammer hitting the head of the nail? The positive side of sports are good friends to Matt Williams and the Kidd family. That alone gives you a gauge on the amount of butt kissing going on.
