Anyone Coming to London Next Year for the Game?

You can probably guess from my username that I am ecstatic about this news ! Just hope to god Larry doesn't retire in the off-season. Can't wait for the game, but really looking forward to the Fan Rallies as well. Will be great to see some Cardinal legends make the trip - players I mean not the...

What are your feelings about the NFL having a team in London

Well I'm from the UK and have followed the NFL since 1983 when the St Louis Cardinals came over for an exhibition game against the Vikings. For me, having a London or UK team would be a really bad idea! One of the problems is that most UK fans have their own adopted US team and have done for...

This team can't be fixed until the offseason

I am a huge Fitz fan. I love what he has done for the team, both on and off the field. Without him we would never get mentioned anywhere. Do I want him traded? Looking at it on face value it just sounds incredible that you trade your best ( ever?) player while he is the peak of his career. But...

Eat a little crow, eat it with humble pie.

The biggest thing for me seems to be a shift in the mindset, as Catfish hinted at earlier. They seem to be more comfortable going with youth. Certainly on the D - must be Horton's influence. I am sorry to see Haggans go but am high on Groves- I think he will have a lot to prove and maybe have...

Pay a visit to Green Bay and try and get Reggie Wells back.

    adam snyder contract

And he brings inside knowledge of the 49ers playbook. That has to be worth something?

Cardinals | Might have interest in Kamerion Wimbley

I got it !! Would be cool if fans sang songs for players like that... think that could be a different thread. I'd love Wimbley on the roster...he would make an impact straightaway.

Thursday night football expanding 13 weeks

This is kind of what happened to football ( soccer !) over here with the Premiership. Used to be most matches played on Saturday with the odd one on Sunday. Now it is quite normal to see just 4 games on a Saturday , 4 on Sunday , some on Monday as well so the traditional Saturday afternoon...

St. Louis to play in London next 3 seasons

Yep that would be pretty good ! But then I do live 15 minutes from Wembley Stadium! I started off supporting the St Louis Cardinals back in the 80s and the Cardinals will always be my team. I won't be changing my allegiance any time soon , even if a team did make some sort of a base over here.

Soap Box 3 of 3: What the Defense needs to do to win me over

The one thing I am looking for from the D is a by-product of more turnovers and that is getting the Offense better field position. The D is getting great at stopping offenses and seem to produce 3 and outs almost at will which I haven't seen for a long long time , but they are just forcing...

    Cardinals fan from England

hi BCFc ( Bristol city fan I take it ) There are a few of us on here. Think Northern Soul is a BC fan too. This is the best forum to read opinions on. I dont post much ( as you can see) but read every day. Do you get on the nfluk forum... I post a bit more there. Pete

Its Official: We have a QB Controversy

This is a pretty good QB controversy to have to be honest. Kolb/Skelton vs Anderson/Hall...?? Neither guy, despite what we are paying KK ,has a huge amount of actual gametime experience but Skelton has shown he can make comebacks, make pressure throws and be very Plummer-esque. KK could be...

    Porter inactive

I know it isn't right to wish injury on any player but honestly, thank god Porter is out. It is the only way Whis would change personnel.

    More Kolb Please

I'm still OK with Kolb at the moment , just a couple of reservations. One being the fact he has to run for his life due to the OLine play. So how long is it till this becomes part of his muscle memory and becomes his default strategy. And if we do get our OL sorted out next draft, are the...

    Season over for Cards?

I think it is fair to say that the 49ers have had a great start to the season , and that also they will hit the wall at some point. The question is , are the Cards good enough to capitalise on when the 49ers hit their bad streak and regain lost ground? In what I've seen so far, and with the...

    Season over for Cards?

Well 1 - 4 is certainly not the start we would have wanted especially with the teams we have to play after the bye week. But we still have to play the Rams and 49ers twice so these are all must win games. 1 loss to the 9ers and that will be it for the season in terms of playoffs. Having said...

Is Kevin Kolb the Alex Smith?

And you have to remember this was only Kolb's 10th start. Still inexperienced even though it seems like he has been around for ages.

Why draft players with high/mid draft picks then not use them?

I don't know if any of you follow the English Premier League but one of our most successful teams are Manchester United who have the best manager in the game in Sir Alex Ferguson who has been manager for maybe 20 years or so - he is the Don Shula of the footlball league. Many years ago his team...

Has whiz used up his good faith from the superbowl?

I didn't vote in the poll but it is an interesting discussion. I am a Whis fan, but that isn't to say i can't find thigns I disagree with. One is his unfailing loyalty to ex Steelers. Loyalty is a good thing , of course, but when it is seemingly so blinkered. It started with Grimm, McFadden...

Cards-21 Redskins-22: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

The ugly for me was yet again failing to close out a game. We have the lead, 5 mins to go , the run game is flowing nicely. OK field position isn't great but instead of taking maybe 3 mins off the clock, scoring at least a FG and putting pressure back on the Skins, we go 3 and out, and sure...

Hightower wants to stick it to us!

I thought Timmy was a great player for us and will be missed. Having said that, i hope he has a stinker on sunday. I also hope our D remembers to tackle him rather than focus on stripping the ball of him as I am sure will have been drilled into them this week.

    Couple of observations

There have been a lot of comments about our D in this game and giving up so many yards to a rookie but I think the Carolina offense is very under-rated. Very good Oline, 2 excellent RBs , 2 excellent TEs, Steve Smith ( say no more about him) and Newton who was the icing on the cake in this game...
