I bet Somers feels like such a dope on a day like this. Just sitting in his car, staring at the doors waiting to see Manning come or go. I hope he brought some eye drops.

Also heard on another board that Manning supposedly 'wanted to work out' for the Cards. No clue if there is anything behind that of it its just more of the absurd game of "telephone" thats currently taking place.

At 9:00 AM I would have called this absurd... But when Larry leaves and Andre Roberts comes strolling in, one has to wonder.

I think the one good sign is the silence of DD on twitter.

Where did you see the video?

NFL network, they had a news update before the "Game of the week" program they're showing now. He had the bag, and not only did Whis not carry it but he didn't open his door for him either.

(That last bit was sarcasm btw) :)

Had to of worked out for us. Gomez was saying he was "carrying his travel bag" but who the hell brings their travel bag in and out of the facility? Leave it in the car if that's what it is..

It could be anything. Could be a decade of his favorite plays, in big huge binders. Could be terminology as thick as bibles. Could be that mixed with casts of the fused vertebrae in his neck. Who knows.

I agree with you though, just trying not to get too worked up; way overcaffeinated as it is.

Maybe that's what Manning had in his bag, 163 bottles of water.

I just want to go on record saying that, even though I'm a Kolb fan, I would be stoked if we signed Peyton Manning, and would happily give Kevin a ride to sky harbor

How sorry can you feel for a guy who made how much last season? five or six million? Plus he'll sign on somewhere else this year for at least another million?

If we sign Manning and Wayne, I'll probably giggle like a little girl. That would be too good to be true.

The one thing I guarantee is it wasn't footballs like previously mentioned.

Even if he was going to throw, you don't think the Cards have a couple spare balls at their practice facility? lol

I said it was full of footballs as a kind of joke. Guess it wasn't that funny. :D

Maybe he was carrying Reggie Wayne in the bag.

Or his confidence.

$12 million. $10million signing bonus plus $2million salary.

There was a dog-and-pony show aspect to the Arizona Cardinals recruitment of prized free agent Peyton Manning on Sunday. His visit to the Broncos on Friday and Saturday was more understated.

• The Cardinals took more of red-carpet approach to Manning's visit Saturday night and Sunday. The Broncos took a more laid-back approach. After a nearly a six-hour visit at the team's headquarters Friday, Elway, Fox, and Manning went out for about a 2 ½ hour dinner at Cherry Hills Country Club.
This kind of surprised me. From what I could tell, the Cards were more low-key than the Broncos.

LOL....red carpet approach? Hmm, you mean the media missed him arriving, found out they had a private dinner the night before, snapped some photos of him coming and going with a mystery bag, and gasp...brought in a couple of WRs including Larry Legend.

Sounds business like to me. And the Denver Post doesn't know if once behind those closed doors, they brought out a court jester and put a crown on Manning while singing bard songs to him, or if they just talked football. Color me shocked if it wasn't the latter.
